also, if you're just trying to get the key item for friggen Brothers, you can have a ls member (or maybe even pay someone) who is experienced to fall down the mountain in the right place into the cave and then just teleport to them :) i tried to get that stupid item once and fell in the wrong place, i was pissed and havent tried since lol

i just came out of doing that ENM XD is a pain to go up then slide down for the key item then go up again....and wait for clear weather ;/ but at least got 6k exp by killing king buffalo and ENM and decent gil so i don't complain....i see this cape more useful for people with lack of experience climbing the mountain of hagun since you need at least 3+ people for that ENM unlike ENM brother who can be solo and duo without much problem but thats my opinion =/

I like this thing already. Hell, if it saves me from having to spend 5-10mins getting somewhere I'm all for that. I do weekly stuff like escort and enms so this is a bonus. It's free. I dunno how anyone can *** about something free.
Also, just looked at that list. Ule. range and Attowha are not on the list.

Sounds like a good thing for most, just as long as you come the correct sub job, got the right foods, etc. Otherwise someone just wasted a teleport XD
I can also see this dropping prices for enm items.

But the PT leader can just zone out of DA and wait there for the rest of his pt to "tele-nexus cape" there.

I think Evil means the North Exit from Dragon's Aery, the one that leads to The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah.

Isn't that a drop there though? You can't go anywhere after you drop but out so it would make it nullified.

Problem is if you do that you can't get back up where Fafnir spawns.

Looking at the maps, there are two drops to be concerned with, the one in Dragon's Aery that drops to where Fafdhogg spawns, and a second drop in Zi'Tah, unless I'm reading it totally wrong (or there's a 3rd drop that's not on the map).
From the way I read the description of the cape, it ports you directly to where your PT leader is, so the drop in Zi'Tah shouldn't matter.

Yes there are two drops. The one that drops you to where Fafnir spawns, and the other drop that leads back to Zitah, so you'd be stuck at that ledge and unless you want to die for a tractor you can't get back up to where Fafnir spawns.

oh. er, well i didn't read it i just scanned it. plus i was up for almost 20hrs. that is my excuse and i'm stickin' to it!
i still think it's good. it's a little bonus. in my opinion, most people have gotten the add-ons for the gear. sure as hell isn't for the story lines. sure it is most probably a marketing ploy, but for people who had already bought them it's a bonus.
i dunno why people are so critical of SE, but this isn't the place for that.

Pity. At least it works in Attohwa. ^^
Interesting... Teleport to party leader. Nice gimmick, SE.
http://www.playonline.com/pcd/topics/ff11us/detail/5005/detail.html
SE said: To commemorate the release of the third and final add-on scenario, we are proud to introduce the "Nexus Cape," an in-game bonus item for players who have purchased the entire trilogy. All characters under a single player account registered for all three add-ons will be eligible for this gift.
Owners of the FINAL FANTASY XI ULTIMATE COLLECTION, scheduled for release on November 10, can also shout with glee, as the gift will be available to them also.
Following the release of the next version update, eligible characters may collect their Nexus Cape from the treasure coffer located within the Tenshodo Headquarters in Lower Jeuno.
The Nexus Cape is an enchanted item that allows characters in a party to teleport to their party leader's location. Please note, however, that the enchantment's effectiveness is limited to certain destinations only. Provided that all requisite conditions are fulfilled, characters may teleport to the areas listed below:
Uleguerand Range / Attohwa Chasm / West Ronfaure / East Ronfaure / La Theine Plateau / Valkurm Dunes / Jugner Forest / Batallia Downs / North Gustaberg / South Gustaberg / Konschtat Highlands / Pashhow Marshlands / Rolanberry Fields / Beaucedine Glacier / Xarcabard / Cape Teriggan / Eastern Altepa Desert / West Sarutabaruta / East Sarutabaruta / Tahrongi Canyon / Buburimu Peninsula / Meriphataud Mountains / Sauromugue Champaign / Yuhtunga Jungle / Yhoator Jungle / Western Altepa Desert / Qufim Island / Behemoth's Dominion / Valley of Sorrows / Southern San d'Oria / Northern San d'Oria / Port San d'Oria / Bastok Mines / Bastok Markets / Port Bastok / Windurst Waters / Windurst Walls / Port Windurst / Windurst Woods / Ru'Lude Gardens / Upper Jeuno / Lower Jeuno / Port Jeuno / Rabao / Selbina / Mhaura / Kazham / Norg
The enchantment effect will differ slightly depending upon the party leader's current location: field areas or towns. For field areas, users will be sent directly to where their party leader stands, while for towns, they will be teleported to where a home point may be set.
Bring a Nexus Cape with you on your adventures, and you need not fear being left behind by your comrades ever again!
*The teleportation will be rendered ineffective if the party leader changes areas in the middle of casting. It is recommended that party members communicate their intent to teleport beforehand.
*Characters may teleport only to areas they have previously visited.
*Teleporting to areas introduced in expansions is possible only after installation and code registration have been completed for the expansion pack in question. This does not, however, affect one's eligibility to obtain the Nexus Cape.
