I just noticed that Yurin is dark element (Inhibit TP). I have no idea if it stacks with Penance, but if it does, that's 35% Inhibit TP (with the downside being you have NIN as your second DD and not something stronger/spike).
I don't believe they would stack as they both inflict the same "Inhibit TP" effect. It also would've been 45% since Relic head increases Penance's Inhibit TP by 10% with max merits.
Was it ever found a rough estimate of how much acc you need to cap acc on Aminon? I seem to recall his eva didn't change between Normal and HM.
Was it 1650? 1700?
He has 1774 evasion, so you'll want to aim for about 1722 acc for single hit WSs and 1822 acc for MNK WSs minus whatever eva debuffs you might have such as Quickstep. Even less if Impact's on, but don't know by how much since I don't know his AGI so I don't bother accounting for it.
Are those the values for HM or Normal?
Do his Eva/Def even change from normal to HM?
I noticed the HP pool is obviously quite larger in HM but the damage is... slightly lower maybe but very similar so if there's any def difference it's not particularly big.
Maybe there's a base stats (STR, DEX, VIT etc) difference and that, indirectly, produces a small change on def.
Supposing this is true, the same should apply to his Eva, which is the same but slightly higher because of higher AGI?
I'm not sure it's been extensively tested, but I believe the community "knowledge" about Aminon HM is that it's the exact same fight, but with -25% DT.
Relevant link for 25% DT. They say the behavior will be changed, but I have noticed absolutely no difference. Possibly something related to TP moves (which we obviously never see). Might be the back-to-back TP move usage thing.
Given there are multiple tiers of Geo-Debuff nerfs, are we sure that the Aminon one is tier1, i.e. 50% reduction?
It's reported as 50% by multiple sources as a "general" nerf for NMs in Sortie.
So I guess Aminon should follow this rule and not being an exception, granted that I didn't find "source" for this measurement, but I guess I'll just have to have faith in this number ;-P
Anyone have any experience with the SAM solo DD set up for sortie and can give some information on which WS or which Multi-steps are used in each NM fight and what support was/is used?

25% -DT and it wipes buffs on pull if you aren't careful is only real difference iirc

Sam, Run, Geo, Cor, Whm, Brd
Run basically only helps on tanking F boss + warcry(sam is /drg), tanking Botulus for kill from behind, and tanking the swarm for D access
A/E/C/G Skillchain into Radiance(Fudo > Kasha > Shoha > Fudo)
B/F 3 step Darkness (Mumei > Shoha > Mumei)
D swap light/dark based on current element

They both wipe buffs if you don't pull correctly.
My bad! I'm always on Dnc and obviously not paying attention :D
Is there a consistent way to avoid the full dispel? I typically just wait until his 2nd auto attack and then move to about 11-12 yalms out of range and that gets me to avoid it about 50% of the time, but avoiding it 100% of the time would be nice.
I've heard conflicting information about how to "guarantee" a dispel, and none of it is a guarantee.
-Pull from an angle
-Do a loop
-Run back, then forward on warp in
-Turn FP mode on
I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a flat 50/50 rate and "pulling correctly" has nothing to do with it. Maybe he just always dispels the puller a certain percentage of the time. Has anyone avoided dispel without doing any running away gimmicks?
Honestly think it's just luck. Our tank claims to have a foolproof method, and when he gets dispelled it's because Aminon didn't move right or he messed up his pathing. Also know someone who's just starting out on Aminon avoid the dispel without doing anything special.

This is what essentially works for me but I flash from like 20~ and then run w no movement speed gear once he starts chasing me... if I get him to move a little from the center/his starting point, THEN draw me to the center (bc his Draw-In brings you to the center, rather than to him) I still can create enough distance between us since he's moved a bit from the point he draws me in to.
Removing all movement speed gear is what seemed to make this work most consistently but I still get dispelled once in a while.

I pull from ~22.3 ish. Take a quick step away, pause, then slowly walk away. If he blast me with the white AA animation then I just keep walking away. (most common scenario) If he doesn't then I do a second pause.

I rarely get dispelled.
Nice. OK, so basically make sure you're out of range at the moment Aminon's ability animation/spell cast/whatever is complete.

Kinda of, but if you go too far, too fast, you'll get drawn into Aminon instead of the middle. The whole process is to get him out of the middle but stay in his AA range.
I've already mentioned 5-man 9 boss with the MNK setup being doable before, but thought I'd record and share a video of it in action. A bit messy in a few places, but a win is a win. Obviously it can be better coordinated/optimized for groups that don't bring a selfish tri-boxer like myself.
Can I get the TP gear the mnk was using in this? Would like to try this out with my group in the near future, and want to see how much more upgrades our mnk might need.
Been doing the mnk comp for 9 bossing recently, definitely much prefer this over other comps I've done so far
I've never done any other method so I can't compare to other setups, but I feel no urge to move away from MNK method. The biggest downside to MNK setup I feel is the Ampulla cost, but if you bring WHM as your 6th you can somewhat offset the cost by the fact that you wouldn't really need to bring medicines besides oils/powders.

My Mpaca is R30. You might want to swap Entrust STR for Entrust Precision if your Mpaca is unaugmented.
