Wait what? -.- What you just said means that ring should be the best choice in both solo situations and attack capped situations, why are you saying it's the other way around?

In a decent group attack capped you get advantage from pdl+.

In solo situations without attack you get advantage from trust attack buffs.

How you see it as complete opposite is beyond me.

i've rewrote/restructured last post a couple of times and the end result probably doesn't make a lot of sense.

guess what i wanted to say is i first thought it's a ring for solo players but then figured they often don't qualify for the pdl bonus and the -20 DEX can hurt ACC which might nullify gains from sroda over other options.

as a multiboxer/group player i'd be salty it's only unique stat goes to waste, BiS or not.

i also have trouble gauging pdl vs WSdmg and from what i read the trust attack bonus doesn't show up in the menu so it's tough to gauge too.

what are the direct BiS competitors anyway? Karieyh ring +1 and Epaminondas's Ring? either way, from eyeballing (and i could be wrong here) this doesn't seem to be a orpheus's sash for the finger so i don't see it having a orpheus's

At attack cap it beats other rings significantly (up to 2~3%, depends on setup) for a lot of great WSs, not only 1 hit, but also other.

It's especially great for Savage, Impulse, Fudo all the NIN's hybrids and many many more.


(At att cap) It's even as good for Expiacion as Karieyh+1 despite Expiacion having 20%DEX mod, which is great for people with other SoA ring.

It's also probably as rare as O sash, which is still 150M. O sash has more impact on magic/hybrid WSs, than Sroda Ring on physical/hybrid WSs, but Sroda Ring can be used for much more WSs on many more jobs and especially how good it is for Savage is probably a main argument it might stay at high price for a long time.

I bought it after long analysis and I'm definitely happy about it :)

In the current meta, it bsing BiS for Savage at attack cap is going to make it expensive just by itself. The other use cases are just the cherry on top.

I was hoping more people are like Shichishito so I can pick up my ring for 50m. Now everyone will pay 200m for it because "SimonSes on forum says it's BiS!!!!!". Dream shattered.

Well the first is supply and demand, things people want are going to sell and that demand is going to increase the prices. People always increase prices if the things they farm sell fast and undercut if they get returned or have a lot of stock. It's no different than real life.

Second is that Asura was creating an unnaturally high demand on other servers and so increasing prices far higher than they should be. The natural prices of these things on smaller servers should be way below Asura prices.

This update flooded Asura AH and created new avenues to obtain them, which addresses both issues above to a degree.

For farmers prices are going to nosedive and stay much lower, but for everyone else is means lower prices and actual stock on their auction houses.

yeah, make sure to buy in befor the may update, hopefully with new challanging group content that doesn't permit capping attack so you payed cap gil for a +15 STR -20 DEX ring.

So "can you please tell me what BiS gears are?" folks in FFXI spend capped RMT gil on a random garbage ring as I get that pdl+ ring cheaply! :DDDDDDDD

Why? While demand would be lower than on Asura, so would supply.

Variance is also a factor. Asura has big numbers in it's favor, so it's less likely a certain item will be disproportionately unavailable due to simply RNG. There are massively more pieces being upgraded than direct void/shard drops occuring, so I would say small servers are more likely to have *higher* prices and lower availability, which ties with my experience buying cross server.

Having 220 different items and making medals used for crafting as well as upgrades was a huge mistake imo. It created a very unfriendly environment and made the event feel quite unrewarding. Unless you had a particularly effective low man group, you couldn't really farm the pieces you want, and there weren't enough medals to buy them. They should have done something closer to omen, key 4-5 jobs each to 5 different item classes and have only 50 different upgrade items.

If you think about how many medals eli and co duped, and how bad the situation still was, it'll become more clear how horrible the design started out.

If you need to upgrade any relic pieces, THIS is the time to do it. Between people dumping their Silver Voucher hoards and the Statue Plus campaign, this is likely the best supply we'll ever see.

I took most of this week off and found the pricier pieces I had listed tanked to half their old, steady values. And sold briskly!

Asura is different than other servers, it's not just a numbers game. You can't just merc a clear, there is less group content going on to warrant upgrading so hard, there are more casual players that don't want to spend 20m on a +1.

Honest question. Do you prefer taking screenshots with your phone or do you not know how to do it otherwise?

Theres a common glitch that instances of windower will say they are taking screenshots and it doesn't actually happen. Its been there for like 6 years and nobody has cared to address it or fix it. That used to be a valid thing to laugh at people about but now I have been taking pics with my phone at times when it refuses to work.

Using 'Windows Key' + 'Print Screen' will always work when windower is up, but it tosses the screenshots into the "C:\Users\USERNAME\Pictures\Screenshots" folder with a generic name which is slightly annoying. Works in a pinch though.

Does not work, I have an instance right now that won't save screenshots even tho it says it is. I tried your suggestion and went to that file and theres no "pictures" or any notification its taking it.

Win+Shift+S, the one that looks like a small rectangle in a big rectangle can take pictures of any window on your screen (can either click the pop-up notification that comes up after, paste into paint and save, or paste into discord). The first one does the same thing except you click and drag to take a shot of any part of the screen you want, so you can skip cropping out the chat log.

push and hold print for about 3 seconds works too, just open a image editor and control + V to paste it and go from there.

I just wish it would get fixed some day, all of that sounds more annoying than hitting print screen
