Is there any way to prevent blinking on Ninja? Constantly changing the ammo slot based on tp, ws's, etc. and blinking every single time is making the job almost unplayable.

/lockstyle on

Legal FFXI command (no third party tools required). Locks the look of your outfit even if you change what you are actually equipped with. Changing main hand and sub hand weapons to a different weapon type (daggers to sword for example) will still cause a blink as far as I know). Unsure on what happens when you change out sub weapons if they are just ammo/throwing. Good luck!

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for ammo slot items changing.

Lockstyle

I don't play nin but I don't think they switch weapons type? So just put what ever your armor is into /equipset and lockstyle it.

If you are changing ranged weapon types (crossbow to boomerang for exmaple) you would still blink. If you're changing from Shurikens to a stat ammo, I'm not sure. Sorry.

I am, and have dressup loaded, just don't understand what I need to type to get myself to stop blinking when my ammo slot changes.

This still causes blinking because Shurikens are Throwing Items and stat ammos are mostly Non-Throwing categorized. It's a pain point for NIN and has never been resolved, short of removing any ammo swap in every single set...which is extremely annoying. The only fix is dressup.

It's not a bug, its a feature of the job! Ninja's are suppose to be hard to spot and always vanishing, remember!?
