https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wiC-j7NvtTuPpF_oqFu20GgHVEsWHXAH/view?usp=sharing These are sound files that can replace the in-game sound files that play when you use a harp or flute on bard, also works for trusts or other npcs. The file locations is (double check you have the correct folder) final fantasy xi/sound/win/se/se021/ Rename se021001.spw to se021001backup.spw for flute Rename se021002.spw to se021002backup.spw for harp Copy one of the files into its place from the folders in the zip. You have to start XI after putting the new file in place, if XI is running you have to close it first and relaunch. Flute 1.Ed Sheeran 2.ff terra 3.flute 4.flute2 Harp 1.ff battle 2.ff melody of lute 3.greensleaves 4.house of the rising sun That is something SE could have done on different instruments.....
But they are too Lazy .......... Great Stuff ! These are really neat. I miss when the community had people working on these type of things. They had some really cool ideas and work. Now that most are gone we don't get much of it anymore.
no way i'm putting ed sheeran on speaker, but nice stuff indeed

Simply have a corresponding .wav file for each type (or specific) song that gets triggered when any nearby bard starts casting. When the ending sound effect for songs goes off you then tell the .wav to be silent or use your own custom ending sound effect. I'd expect you would want to also replace the music .dat with a silent effect so that it doesn't get in the way of the music you actually want to hear. I'd suspect the method to be the same one as xipivot, but it would be easier and simpler to just have said theoretical addon just send an xivpivot command to plug in the silent song .dats.
