I have a weird question.

I am at a nomad moogle and I just can't open my mog sack. I can open any other bag, and then "switch" to the sack, but I cannot open it from the menu.

Is this a known issue?

Man I really hope we get at least 1 new zone with TVR. I know we're gonna get something for Empy +2/+3, which has to be coming in the next couple of months. Maybe the content will take place in Valhalla, who knows.

Also, I still really hope we get Chemist as a job. I don't know how they'd make a job like that super interesting to play, but at least it'd be new

At least 1 new (cool) zone would be nice. I would even more prefer if they add more Apex mobs in various places including nostalgic areas like the dunes, qufim, yuhtunga or crawler's nest. To piggyback off this, giving people repeated reasons to re-visit these old areas. I'd rather have reason to re-visit them than new areas but that's me.

Chemist seems to be a popular once. Time Mage was for me but it seems they've split that out into other jobs.

Sadly news Apex zone will be botted rmts in no time.

ML is mine gold for them .... they will probably reach 100m soon for
a maxed ML job to cap.

SE could implement a KI timer based ( to limit Rmts but .... )

This is Asura's problem i guess, some others servers doesn't feel that way maybe.

Just Hope new zone , will be tight on prerequisites.

Even so i am pretty sure Rmts could bring a lvl1 to lvl99 all ranks, all zone , all quest in no times.

All roads doesn't lead to Rome in ff11, they lead to a good Bot !

If we're talking high expectations, I would think 1 new zone for the battle content for Empy +2/+3 to take place, a new final boss model for the end of TVR, and maybe Chemist.

If we're talking realistic and tempered expectations, I'd expect a nice conclusion to TVR with a reused zone for the new Empy +2/+3 content, and a reused model for the final battle with a cool new nice sound track.

Hoping for the former, but expecting the latter.

I'm skeptical in the game's receptivity to new jobs. The role of support is spread pretty thin at this point, and I'm not sure how they'd pull off having a job unique enough to not step on the toes of others. Though I've thought the same thing before every job announcement and have been pleasantly surprised each time.

My current mindset is that having something big and new would be more of a cherry on top, because I think the bare minimum of proper exposure and marketing are really what the game needs right now. An expansion or new job(s) or something would be a great way to boost that, but only if the publisher itself helps to spread the word.

FFXI can easily draw a crowd, but it can't do that when the only people who hear news are people already listening for it.

Support stepping on each others' toes isn't a big deal, and might even be healthy for the game to reduce party reliance on needing a specific support for specific content.

New Jobs Time Mage and Chrmist. I could see chemist easily in what they originally planned for Dancer but with more options for buffs via mix.

That would literally never happen. There's no "instead of", only "in addition to'.

Use a Bard OR a GEO. *** no use two of each.
Use a COR OR a Bard. *** no use two of each.
Use a chemist OR a "job". *** no use two of each.

You don't use Chaos roll, or Minuet or Indi-Fury.
You use Chaos roll, and Minuet and Indi-Fury. (and box step and frailty and dia3 and shell crusher)

Never "or" Always "and"

Six new placeholder zone dialogue DAT files were added in the January 2022 update download. Three are for JP, three are English. The last time they did this they added the Sheol-Gaol zone... so my guess is that they are planning something. It might even be an instanced area for BCs, who knows.

I mean overall supports, though. Like, I'd imagine Chemist as something very similar to Red Mage but without the use of MP. That is to say, an individual with natural healing prowess but with a focus on buffs and enfeebles. I'm not sure how you could do a job like that without one eclipsing the other. Even the concept of being free of MP restraints butts into Red Mage's nigh-infinite pool.

Again, I've been proven wrong before. Scholar still blows my mind with how it was pulled off.

At least there is more space to store equips if they make new jobs.

Might want to level the playing field for jobs in the sense that the newer a job is, the fewer WSs they have access to. I find myself very unwilling to invest into a new job when my RDM and RNG can hit anything I want for SCs and my RUN can only make Distortion or Light without some kind of awkward shenanigans. I'm hoping for some blacked out relics that more jobs are on.

My guess for empy gear +2 is meeble burrows reused , and a 3 „new“ zones for +3 with the final chapter of TVR .
If we are lucky we might see 2 new Jobs something like necromancer with dark avatars , in FFX there was a dark form of avatars in endgame for example . Maybe also a dark version of relics that could be upgraded in the new zones ( Maybe early Tavnazia pre War and something like dark dyna beaucedine and xarcabard)
I dont think we get completely new zones but reuse of meeble burrows is highly possible if you look at the meeble on the title pic of TVR and a Tavnazia pre war would close the circle of the beginning CS .

Really want to get away from needing March's and Samurai's Roll for DPS. Recent ML's have made SCH and RDM viable replacements for WHM (outside of Gaol) and GEO debuffs have been heavily nerfed, leaving BRD and COR as the last "must haves" of job selection.

This is why I thought the timing of the wardrobes, equipsets, and macro books was maybe indicating another job might be coming. Of course, this all could have been coincidence, or just the timing of their fiscal year, but you never know. A new job would have been a giant bummer for people already struggling from poor inventory management. Ironically, adding Chemist as a job might lead to more revenue from additional wardrobes being bought lol

A bypass would be New job buff = X% that doesn't stack with a cor's X-roll. New job can also heal/debuff but not DD (efficiently as a cor). Now you choose between cor with x-roll and able to DD or new job with x-buff that can heal. Or something along the lines of saying if 5 songs and/or 2 rolls active, new job's x-buff overwrites last song/roll buff. Currently they have a buff between brd and cor stacked at 12 buffs total; they could make it 7 total or less to use new x-buff.

but ***, who we kidding? it's SE - a new job will most likely be OP and break ***to the easiest content ever or worthless (see: pup circa 2006)

Honestly Buffing and DD in the same package should be how it's done at this point. They aren't going to reign in COR and people that spent a buncha money of making their CORs shouldn't get hamstringed since that's a great way to make people quit. GEO can nuke and donk stuff at least some. Sure they get nerfed in content when they break stuff, but uh they break stuff so....

BRDs could use a little love, something cool one way or another. Make people love their buffers and supports for god's sake. It makes everyone's life better.

You can make the straight DDs as boring as possible and people will still play them because peen. Just saying peen is so motivating that an Olympic Cross country Skier just froze his peen for the 2ND(!?) time while competing. It's the reasonable people you have to motivate.

This would be super epic if they actually gave us the real Tavnazia before it got destroyed and not just the safehold reskinned or something. Ever since the CoP story line way back in the day and the intro CG video for XI I've always hoped someday we would get to actually explore the Tavnazia city in game somehow.

I think WotG would of been the main best opportunity they could of done that since it was time traveling back to the Era before Tav got trashed by the beastmen. Maybe wishful thinking they could do something with Tav sorta like how they gave us Siren way later than when she was supposed to be originally added at the end of Adoulin. I did notice they have Tav off in the background on the left in the VR artwork.

I haven't gone through the VR missions yet so trying to avoid spoilers, but I'm assuming there's a reason they put Tav in that artwork. At the same time I've also been wondering since the VR artwork was released what that huge tower in the middle is supposed to be. Assuming it's not something new that is, originally I assumed they would just reuse zones for all of this, but it would be epic if we get at least 1 new zone.

Also I really hope they don't just reuse something like Promathia again for the final boss. We got Cloud of Darkness for RoV, they should be able to at least make 1 new model for the final boss of VR. That new soundtrack is really good btw, sounds very chilling so totally looking forward to where it's gonna show up in the storyline.

I just noticed the name. The optimist in me can't help but think "The Cycle of Rebirth" is meaningful on a meta-level.

Holy fudge this song is so good.

TBH I do not know where the names came from that this guy has on this video or the other tracks that he uploaded. I wish I knew if they were official track names.

On one or two of his videos he mentions there's no name but yet he assigns one to it. I think he's just slapping one on there.

According to the most recent upload of We Are Vana'diel's "My Playlist" (timestamp: 06:45), this song is titled "The Dule's Ascent". Would that be a misspelling? I haven't played enough of TVR yet to know.
