I dont suppose you have any DPS numbers to get a feel for how much ahead/behind we are talking in these scenarios?

It would really depends on buffs and if you can cap attack, but in general with capped attack regular Aria, 70 stp sam roll, boost-str, high ML, /drg:

no impetus/footwork:
Godhands+Tornado ~13100 dps
Godhands+Howling ~11900 dps
Veret+Vsmite ~11000 dps
PrimeS5 ~10450

Footwork:
Godhands+Tornado ~16100 dps
Godhands+Tornado+Savagery ~20300
Godhands+Howling ~12800 dps
Godhands+Howling+Savagery ~16100 dps

Impetus:
Veret+Vsmite ~15000 dps
PrimeS5 ~14900 dps

Something like that

Thanks! That is a bigger difference than I thought it would be. 20k DPS with footwork/warcry/savagery is nuts

Howling has a 50% attack bonus, so it becomes better if your not capping attack, otherwise Tornado has better TP scaling.

When attack is overcapped and footwork is not up, shouldn't raging fists be better than howling?

I mean I seem to recall this but it's been so long since I tested I could be completely wrong.
If someone has more reliable data to enlighten me I'd apreciate!

Tbh some other jobs can go much further with dps, especially with Savagery/Aria on.

EDIT: Ok maybe not. At least not without SPs. Most highest DPS options will be around that 20-21k dps too I think. I dont have updated SAM sheet, maybe it could be higher. That being said MNK can really only touch dps like that with Footwork and has no SPs that will push it higher, while some other jobs can maintain that dps for longer and push it even higher with SPs.

Does the prime weapon have it's 13% occasionally deal triple damage included in it's dps calculations? And does using the prime with Imputus wearing 4/5 Mpaca, Lekho's ring, and Odr Earring for a 98% crit rate not help push it's parse up?

It was included, but your post made me double check and there was an error in weapon naming I had "PrimeS5 " instead of "PrimeS5" and that space broke the condition for triple damage proc (using Left() would be better, but oh well). So after fixing it, Prime is indeed ahead of Veret and would be around 15500 DPS instead of 14900. You can actually push both Veret and Prime around 250dps higher using AF+3 feet, but that's a significant meva drop to already low meva TP set anyway, so I'm not a fan of that.
It's 30% proc rate on TA on stage 5 prime, not 13% btw.
EDIT: I forgot to wrote, that 4/5 Mpaca is simply not the best idea. Bhikku+3 legs/hands are better. I also don't include Lehko's, because it's only break even for Niq or Gere, not to mention I wouldn't even pick this ring for MNK.

Not really, Tornado Kick is better, even without Footwork.
EDIT: Sheet is showing slightly higher DPS for Raging, even while Raging having slightly lower WS damage. Hmmm, I guess it might be a matter of additional hits lowering the time you need to reach 1000TP, but I think sheet is overrating this fact.

EDIT2: I noticed bis vsmite set has lots of PDL (especially that I use Ephramad's for it and assume Aria). Even higher for Prime, since Im assuming AM3. Slightly surprisingly Fotia Gorget started to beat Jse+2. There are also few swaps not reducing damage by a lot. If you have R30 Nyame legs, they are not that much worse than mpaca's. Ryuo +1 A gloves would be another swap to reduce PDL and amount of attack needed to reach full potential.

I remember Raging being quite above Tornado (outside of Footwork) but:

1) I did the tests on the spreadsheet a long time ago and there's a lot of different equipment now
2) My memory could be exxagerating what was actually a very small difference
3) There might be some error in the spreadsheet

Guess we should test on the All jobs damage calculator as well.
I currently am unsatisfied with the fact I have way too many WS sets and WS macros on MNK so I'd be more than happy to remove Raging Fists forever lulz

Tbh Raging fists and tornado are pretty much the same sets.
One is 3 hit scaling tp with STR/VIT mods
Other is 5 hit scaling tp with STR/dex mods

Someone can probably do some estimation, but imo it's just way too low sample.

What is needed to get the exact values is:

1. 1000tp value with lowest and highest number being 5% apart. Number between lowest and highest doesn't matter.
2. Same but with fotia
3. Without Fotia again, but with +xx to start

Your values were 4-4.75% apart which is close but still leaves room for speculation. Now your +stat value is literally single value.

I could throw some +- possible numbers, but it won't be super accurate

1000: 2.9 fTP
3000: 11.5 fTP

Wsc 60% str/dex

The amount of Martial Arts needed(Mastered) with magic haste capped and gear haste capped

Would imply its counting gifts.

13 MA includes the gifts from JP, which is I assume what you mean by 10 from master level.

For martial arts, according to wiki you need 12.48 martial arts for Godhands. Is that only from equipment because you get 10 from master level. Anyone know?

Yes, that is after the Job Master bonus.

Base h2h delay is 480, and Godhands is +138, so our unmodified starting delay is 618.
Max delay reduction is 80%, so our target delay is 0.2 * 618, or 123.5 delay.

Martial Arts for Job Master MNK cuts 210 delay, from 618 to 408.
Capped gear + magic haste is 68.75%, so 408 * 0.3125 = 127.5.
Not quite there.

IF you have JA Haste, like 5% from Haste Samba, that will put you over the top with no additional MA.

Otherwise, +13 more MA drops us from 408 to 395, and 395 * 0.3125 = 123.4375.
Right where we want to be.

The 12.48 MA figure includes MNK's base MA7 trait (-200 delay at MNK99) and the -10 delay from job point gifts (-5 each at 100/1200). Before gifts and MNK's native Martial Arts VII trait, you need 222.48 MA to hit exactly capped H2H delay for Godhands, assuming capped equipment haste (256/1024) and capped magic haste (448/1024).

Practical application: for MNK with 1200+ JP using Godhands, it's possible to use a Mache Earring +1 (MA+13) to hit cap almost perfectly (not that it's the right decision for maximum DPS). And don't forget that Bhikku Cyclas +2/+3 have MA too: MA+7 on the Empy+2 version, MA+8 on the Empy+3; when using Empy body you'll want to ignore additional MA gear.

The math:

EDIT: And of course, I turned to pay attention to something else for 10min with a reply open, finished it, then realized Meeble had already beat me to it lol. But, we both arrived at the same result :)

Re: Maru Kala. Baseline is the same as my post above. Target is Wild Rabbits.
Code
--1000TP--

7713 - 8091 (1.049)

STR (336+86 = 422)
8283 - 8567 (1.034)

DEX (343+86 = 429)
8220 - 8561 (1.041)

--1000TP+Fotia--

7969 - 8349 (1.047)

--3000TP--

29811 - 31256 (1.048)

--3000TP+Fotia--

30144 - 31565 (1.047)
Also this happened and it was pretty amusing.

It's somewhere around
3.092 at 1000
11.93~11.95 at 3000

60%STR/DEX

Which means H2H is closer to 2h WSs than 1h WSs, so MNK and PUP can be happy.

EDIT: Assuming it scales exactly linear. 2000TP would be around 7.516

Thank you! Yes, that was with peak boost/crit/3x proc.

I can collect data for 2k TP another time so we have a full picture.
