Someone just updated the BG Wiki Titles page claiming that all three of Adumbration Disperser / Alluvion Assailant / Queller of Otherworldly Gales are acquired by killing Balamor's Adumbration inside Skirmishes. (in three distinct areas - Cirdas / Yorcia / Rala respectively)
I thought someone here had failed to get one of those when they got an Adumbration instead of a "normal" floor on a Rank V Torso simulacrum Skirmish - can whoever that is chime in? I may be misremembering things because I am very stupid.
Upon further review, I am pretty sure you can just do a torso level lower than 5, even without the message "You have successfully conquered all areas of this skirmish." (This message doesn't show up if Balamor appears.)
I was laboring under the incorrect assumption that you need to clear the normal amount of floors with torso V (7) and also without Balamor showing up. (If Balamor doesn't show up, you can do only 7 max with torso V)
At this point, it appears you have to clear "enough" floors for both Cirdas Caverns Alluvion Skirmish and Rala Waterways Alluvion Skirmish to get the title "Queller of Otherworldly Gales."
The presence of Balamor appears to be irrelevant to getting "Queller of Otherworldly Gales." It's just that at the time I didn't know you need to clear "enough floors" for BOTH Cirdas and Rala since I was focused on just doing Cirdas first (thinking you could get the title just from doing Cirdas). So it could be just clearing 4+ floors with any torso (beating Balamor removes the floor limit) like what it says on wiki.ffo.jp
It seems you need at least Torso III for Yorcia though (or probably need to do at least 4 floors since doing 3 floors with Torso I wasn't enough for me.)
I got the "Alluvion Assailant" title after doing Yorcia Wield but not sure if that's Yorcia by itself as I did Cirdas and Rala before Yorcia.
If anyone wants to test the above conclusions...
Adumbration Disperser: defeat Balamor
Queller of Otherworldly Gales: finish "enough" floors of Cirdas Caverns and Rala Waterways Alluvion Skirmish regardless of Balamor appearance. A "safe" working assumption is "enough" being the 2 more floors than the Torso level (or maybe 4 or more floors for Torso I)
Alluvion Assailant: finish "enough" floors of Yorcia Weald Alluvion Skirmish (may need to do the other two as well) regardless of Balamor appearance.
Skipping a floor with Lorissa may not count as completion of that floor as well.

That was me. I just finished getting those titles.
Got Alluvion Cirdas title after doing Torso V and killing Balamor.
Did not get Alluvion Rala title after doing Torso V and not getting Balamor. (3 times)
Got Alluvion Rala title after doing Torso III and getting Balamor.
Note you have to use the Fenestral Key after the Balamor kill before you can get the title.
Edit: Also just got this. That's a nice one to get off my list. 1/11
Also, the wikis cite a JP community rep post saying that they spawn when you're within 80 to 87 yalms of them (more than 1.5x loading range), but ffxiclopedia also says that they can take 2-3 seconds to spawn so if you're using movement speed you might miss them, which doesn't seem to match.
I have a vague memory of it being more like 8 yalms in the past. Is that wrong?
I picked up a tablet in Batallia Downs this week and I spotted it when I was moving at mount speed (I was moving through the area doing some missing AF quests).
I've collected all the tablets and found almost all of them while in Monstrosity - the rest have been in zones with crags and I've been on mount. This is something where a third party tool is a decided advantage - if you know the zone you'll notice an out-of-place green dot in the ffxidb plugin map.
You can't actually collect a mog tablet while under the effect of Monstrosity (or at least you couldn't when I'd done it) so there's a frantic relinquishing and racing back out before someone else happens upon it.

In your 11 kills did you notice odd behavior...?
Ive been camping 2 weeks now, one day someome killed Regular sandworm and it took 3 days to respawn. Then the other day after I killed it the day prior, it did not respawn in the 20-25 hr window.... and yes I know someone didnt sneak it from under my nose.

Nope. My first Sandworm I killed for the first title and it also took 3 days to respawn. After that I just had it Doomvoid every time and don't think I did anything different. I just dragged it to survival guides, brought it to 30% HP with Subduction spam, then whacked it with KClub until it Doomvoided.

Literally what I've been doing... but then no pop one day and lost TOD... bizarre.
I do think someone needs to update the wiki to correctly represent the behavior that Overworld Sandworm killed = 3 day respawn.
It's purely through Campaign Battles afaik, though doing ops does affect nation and beastman stats so maybe that has an impact. You're "supposed" to influence it by participating in battles, but the actual best way to quickly raise it is to mass murder campaign mobs without getting tags.
Is this something that you should be actively be trying to do all week or can you just grind it out on the final day before Conquest Tally reset?
You can grind it all out on the final day before the weekly reset, but I'd personally recommend that you give yourself 2-3 days. The beastmen don't appear in zone immediately after killing the previous wave, and you need to wait for them (sometimes hours). When I unlock Fiat Lux and need to gain influence in the northern zones, I usually get started on Thursday evening, and keep going through Friday-Saturday.
Does anyone out there have any of these titles? I have 2 questions:
1.) Does it show up for you in the output of Title Inverter?
2.) Are any Title NPCs able to let you choose this title after you've obtained it?
I'm guessing the answer to both of these questions is No. If that's the case, are any other titles out there that are like this and outside of Title NPCs checks?

3.) Is receiving this title from the bard a lower chance/diluted by already having more titles?
4.) Is any 1 bard in particular more likely to grand these titles than another? (less title options to pull from?)
How does one save/accumulate 101 Runes? Also, what's 9/9 vouchers mean?
The 9 Vouchers (and 101 Runes) are consumables that permanently unlock the ability to use that distinct one in a Tabula to create a Maze (think like learning a spell)
You can buy a bunch from https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Chatnachoq but others are only drops from specific types of Maze (one of the 9 Vouchers, for instance the fishing one drops fishing-specific Runes, also sometimes you have to have the "Lost and Found" rune set)

Anecdotal, but my partner who has very few titles was able to get all four titles very quickly from the bard in Mhaura. It took me about a week or so of spamming the same bard every hour. I have roughly 900 titles.
Any bard can give them, but it might help to stick with the same one to increase your chances.
I confirmed -- If you gain a new rank before JP Midnight, the item will change and limits reset even if you've maxed out the previous rank's item for that day. (ranking up)
Question: (ranking down)
Can you de-level and get reset, and then just go back and forth for unlimited GP in a given day?
Only checked like 8ish bards, but Tavnazia indeed seems to be the zone I have the least amount of titles for. I had 37 there where as every other bard I checked was 50+

I believe the mechanic here is that the bard will choose a random title off of his list when you ask for him to decide. If you've earned that title, he'll set it, and if you haven't earned it yet, he'll give you one of the temporary titles instead. So the best bard to choose is the one with the most titles on his list that you haven't earned yet.
The nuance being not just the bard with the fewest titles you've earned, but the one with the most unearned titles. If you use that title inverter addon that's been passed around, you should probably use that and pick the bard who gives you the longest list of unearned titles.

I have ranked multiple characters in the past and don't think this is how GP works. If I am not mistaken when you rank up you get access to the new item / limit. However you keep your old items turn in points intact towards the daily GP limit. So let's say your old item limit was 12k and you rank up and the new item limit is 14k. You can only get an additional 2k that day. If the new item is infact a lower turn in cap (say 8k), you will be unable to turn any items in because you are already over the cap. This remains true no matter how many times you rank up in terms of comparing how many points you have already gotten vs what current items cap is (so say caps were 12k - 14k - 8k - 16k on a day you turned in GP then ranked up 3 times; you could get an extra 2k after 1st rank up, none on second and an additional 2k on third; or if you had forgotten to turn in after 1st rank up and got 2nd you wouldn't have been able to turn in any on the 8k rank but could get 4k extra on the third rank up)
So to answer your question you couldn't lower rank and level up to speed up the GP process (atleast not significantly enough to be worth it) because there are still daily caps you can't bypass.
Someone else feel free to chime in if I am wrong. It's been a while.

Your first FFXIAH post? Thank you for your reply, even if anecdotal, and welcome to the forums! :D
OK, so I'm still Rank 7, but I just got "Random Adventurer". I don't see a way to choose this title again, unfortunately.
I spoke to this Title NPC in Windurst Walls because that's where I have the most unacquired titles. I changed my title 79 times this year (2025) across multiple Title NPCs and I chose "Let the Bard Decide" 47 times since the update on December 10th.
Edit: Apparently they're just random, so keep spamming "Let the bard choose my title" every game day. 1 down, 3 to go.
I've been at Mastery Rank 8 for a while, then took a break and came back after they increased the cap (because I'm a masochist, naturally)
I've achieved the following new titles and am still stuck at 8:
* All Sortie bosses, including Aminon (NQ) titles
* Ouryu + Bahamut titles
The "big bosses" that I'm still missing are:
* Cracking Shells (B) <--- I've done the (S) and (W) campaigns
* Fiax Lux
* Chocobo races
I've done just about everything else that I would consider one of the "landmark" fights, leading me to think that at this point either Fiat Lux is a hard requirement, or it really is just as simple as collecting more random titles. (Most of my remaining titles are Ballista-related, so I might just pop through those.)
---Anyway, just posting here to say that in addition to everything else I've posted in this thread in the past, Aminon, Ouryu, and Bahamut are not sufficient for the 8->9 transition. (They might still be *necessary*, who knows)
EDIT: I forgot some I still need, oops:
* Sandworm
* Lambton Worm
* Yilbegan (killed him a bunch, but don't have the title)
For anyone that wants to share where they are with Mastery Rank and there stats on quest/missions/roe and so forth. Rank can be found in menu under Status>Profile.
Any data helps, but more data for people at rank 6 can help us find possible base requirements. Stats from other ranks also can find baselines for those as well. Obviously stats from people if they notice when they rank up will be extra useful.

Mastery Rank is a numerical value representative your completion of missions, quest, and various other types on in-game content. The higher the rank, the more you have completed. Source
The "other types of in-game content" might be hardest to figure out. Apparently at the moment Rank 6 is the cap?
Master Rank 4 with:
Rank 10 only in one city
Zilart/CoP main missions + epilogues completed
ToA/WotG/SoA/RoV main missions completed
No Addons done
451 ROE completed
Max Fame in Bastok, Windy, Sandy, Norg, Jeuno and corresponding linked areas
Relic/Empyrean/Aeonic completed, no mythics
