The PlayOnline LS Community site does not yet report people's merit points, so there's no way for us to collect that data.

Im so glad you came out with this. I made the sugjestion back in May, Great job!
It's an awesome way to calculate just how many single merits you have. That takes so long.
would be nice if ffxicommunity adds automerits so ffxiah can autocalculate new achievement points.
My only concern with the achievement points for merits thing is that more points doesn't always mean better.. you could put 5 points in for a tier 2 job group ability that is more points but perhaps less useful than putting 3 into a new ability or trait..
If the POL LS Comm site starts to provide us a way to verify the (currently self-reported) merits, I'm sure we'll move to adding them to the achievement point system, at the very least because they count as 10k experience each.
