They don't need to be saved, they just need to stop delivering mail for Amazon for a loss. Simple really.
95% of my mail is garbage advertisements. How come I cant pay for a mail service to filter it like email does

YouTube Video Placeholder @Caerda yes privatizing things is always the best solution, I mean look what it's done for healthcare and the handling of the COVID pandemic. #moronsgunnamoron Maybe do some research, like this video. But if you like overpaying, you do you. volkom said: » 95% of my mail is garbage advertisements. How come I cant pay for a mail service to filter it like email does Offline

It's possible privatization could improve the postal service, it's just that it would cost you five times as much before you'd maybe have a chance of seeing it.
Unfortunately the post office is MANDATED IN THE CONSTITUTION.

When they learn to quit handing out useless scraps of paper to people who don't have any reason to look at it then maybe I'll support them. 95% of the crap the post office so diligently delivers is quite literally garbage that does nothing but end up in the trash.

It would be like free emails. Most of your letters would be spam and they sell your data like address, and such. Is there a law stopping private companies from looking into your mails that are owned by them? No? Gonna fix that with a EULA or whatever contract you have to sign Offline

How about just getting mail weekly, or monthly, the *** they sending someone out there every day for, anything urgent is a package
I'd be ok with a total restructuring. We don't need junk delivered daily. Keep actual priority service and drop all the waste.
One of my sisters has been a postal employee her whole life (30 years in)... she makes way too much per hour lol. No point in daily mail tbh. Offline

I don't check my mail every day. I check it probably once a week. Sometimes I get things that are time-sensitive and I already blew my time buffer by not being on top of my mail like and old person who's only excitement of the day is getting out of the house to check the mail. I check my e-mail even less. One day I'll be wealthy enough to hire a personal assistant to do all of this for me, but today will not be that day. >.< Oh, and here is a fun story I never will forget about (similar to how mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell). clearlyamule said: » The worst part is half of that is from companies that tell me they also can't send me 1 paper bill a month because they trying to save paper. More like save them money on postage. They don't g.a.f. about paper consumption. Offline

. It is on topic if ppl don't wanna see others opinion s
The media is just grasping at straws to cling on to now because they can't rely on their corona virus and the presidential impeachment stories to keep viewers (aka justify anyone spending ad revenue on television news networks). From what I hear, entertainment websites are in the same (or probably worse) boat because there is nothing happening in entertainment with basically all TV and movie production shut down as well as sporting and musical events/performances are all postponed/cancelled.
That is why they're pushing this as "news". The Post Office isn't going anywhere. Also, the murder bees are a thing, but Asia has been dealing with it forever. Remember decades ago hearing about how "Killer bees are migrating north to the US"? Yeah. It'll be okay. Don't believe the hype train. Leviathan.Draugo

Africanized killer bees are a thing. Just so you know.
I'm aware and they reached the US eventually. However, before they got here, there was quite the hype train about the "killer bees are coming" and it really wasn't a big deal.
How could I not post this video: YouTube Video Placeholder Leviathan.Draugo
