How many of you are still using your security token?
i've had mine since it's release and it was mailed to me back in 2007?. damn. now i feel old lol.
Anyways, i think its on its last leg and i have to change. Maybe to the software app? there was a reason i didnt do that tho and i dont remember lol

I just did this software token stuff for extra inventory. Nothing else much.
maybe the app shop or the app itself asked for funny permissions?
can't someone exchange the battery in there?

so is there a good reason to buy the token over the software version? what permissions does the app ask for?

Iirc you can only have one account on the app, so for me i'm using software and hardware token.
If you're worried about somebody hacking into your account with a 20 year old game, you better get some meds.

it is all about the extra inventory. most cases of account "hacking" in MMOs are probably caused by account sharing, scam selling and using shady third party tools. i guess the token offers protection against keyloggers shipped with shady third party tools.
