Fetter Removal

So I'm now playing on a potato and would appreciate it if anyone had any clever ideas for getting rid of the awful glow effect from the fetters that pop in the Lilith BCNM.

One idea I had was to simply swap the dat for a different NPC, but I'm having trouble even finding that!

Any information would be appreciated, even unrelated to fetters for improving performance. For example, I recently swapped dats for GEO bubbles so they're not so graphically intensive.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my post, I'm having trouble finding the specific dats related to it-- using both POLUtils and AltanaView.


Edit: nevermind, found them under ROM/259/, 73-80 are the elemental gyves, 80 being the dark elemental.

can use a lua for it, but you'd have to write one

looks like elemental gyves are

FFXI\ROM\259\73.DAT

all the way to 80.dat

Necro bump- Has anyone had any luck swapping/modifying dats for Sheol Gaol fetters? Our poor tank usually has his screen full of eye-searing shiny blue badness for most of the Arebati fight, hoping to help him out!

These used to ruin my life on my old PC. This thread has some tips, like turning blur effects off. And Radial Arcana made a .DAT for fetters that takes out the shimmering effects. It may only be the Dark Fetter, but could just replace all fetter .DATs with the dark one.
