Did Giulani support releasing the transcipt? We know Pence, Barr, Pompeo, Mulvaney were all against it, and Trump insisted on releasing it to show us all he was completely in the wrong. I haven't seen where Giulani was on it.

I guess Giulani wouldn't have had access to the transcript since he is just a private citizen, so he probably wouldn't have been allowed to weigh in.

Yeah..I have my doubts. As you said, he claims a lot. He doesn't have any security clearance.

I don't know who is more folish, Rudy for thinking he is helping Trump or Trump for thinking Rudy is helpful.

I mean Rudy just threw Pompeo under the bus whild trying to prove something, I have no idea what.

House committees subpoena Pompeo for Ukraine documents as part of impeachment inquiry

And I wasn't quoting Chanti to say that was Chanti's opinion whether it is or isn't...just showing where it's already becoming a concern that conversations will be released to the public in the future. This should stop now before it affects future communication/relationships with other countries. More BS to undermine Trump's ability to do his job.

Ebone, the release of this conversation was almost unprecedented in the annals of diplomacy.

And Trump ordered it. He actually thought the release would help him.

Volodymyr Zelensky was appalled that Trump released his side of the conversation. Until he was elected he played a politician on TV. So he has at least a vague idea of how this works. Trump has none.

All his advisers cautioned him against it.

I do not know which is worse. The hubris or the blind stupidity.

Oh please. The Democrats didn't care one whit about diplomacy when they were coordinating this scandal in backroom circles. If he didn't release the transcript they would have issued subpoenas to get it, and heaven knows it would have leaked at that point anyway. But ohhhhhh nooooooo, Trump decided to forego the nonsense and shortened this scandal by the months it would have taken them to obtain it by force.

Beyond that, he is being taken to task for trying to put this on a secure server because
it's a coverup, oh the humanity
, but at the same time he is being called stupid for releasing
such sensitive information
willingly. The Dems are experts at having their cake and wanting to eat it too.

Rav, that's privileged communication. Like executive privilege. And Trump released it.

And do remember, the dems are stupid enough to follow the rules.

Kurt Volker resigns as Ukraine envoy after mention in whistleblower complaint: report
Quote:
Kurt Volker, the U.S. envoy for Ukraine, reportedly resigned Friday after his name was mentioned in the intelligence community whistleblower's complaint regarding President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that included discussion about investigating the Biden family.

Volker’s resignation was first reported by The State Press, the student newspaper of Arizona State University, where Volker serves as executive director of the school’s McCain Institute.

According to the complaint, Volker sought to "contain the damage" from Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani's outreach to Ukraine's government about the Biden family....

But seriously, plenty of Dems were complaining about Trump not releasing the actual transcript before he did and then they started complaining about that instead. Nothing, and I mean nothing, can sooth their perpetual outrage.

Its pretty remarkable how Rav didn't make a point there at all. Trump is being eaten alive because he pressured another country to investigate a political opponent and offered US resources to help accomplish it, then immediately started trying to cover it up, yet despite knowing about the whistleblower complaint, still couldn't get in front of it. Seems like those lawyers he was talking to need new jobs.

Yeah they keep calling it a "cover up" ... like cover up from who exactly? Everyone knew what was said, lots of people listened in, official transcripts were made and so forth. Transcripts of conversations that might end up classified are frequently moved to the secure network, which is pretty damn likely considering foreign leader discussions can turn into national security issues.

And you would fail Rav. Trump couldn't be compelled to release the phone transcript, its completely protected under executive privilege. He could just get away with hiding it just like he is hiding his phone conversations with Putin and the Saudis. Not only did he choose to just release politically damaging info, he is so dumb he is still trying to claim its not damaging. Feel free to keep trying tho, you've had nothing for days now.

This has already been debunked. It was am attempted coverup, there was nothing in that phone transcript that was related to national security, zip. Nothing in there was classified intel, nor did it have any potential to be.

They were already talking about requesting the transcript. What is he supposed to do? Let Dems do what Dems do...make stuff up and pass it as fact without reading anything? This was all planned ahead of time. They even revised the Urgent Concern Disclosure Form in August by eliminating the requirement of first hand information. They were going to get it anyway. In fact, Nancy "just pass it and we read it later" Pelosi even admitted that if the information turned out to be wrong, she would still continue with the impeachment inquiry. The transcript showed nothing illegal. A President is absolutely allowed to ask another government to investigate what transpired from a past dealing that seemed shady at the very least. Who was involved does not matter. He owes it to America to make sure that money went to what it was supposed to go to before we offer up any more.

Are you, nausi, and Saev ham sandwiches? Because it hasn't been hard to debunk you guys. The transcript was protected by executive privilege, just like the Putin/Saudi transcripts are. The Dems would never have gotten it.

Also, hilariously, Giulani just asked shouldn't Biden be investigated if Trump can be impeached. The answer is no, Biden should not and is not being investigated for anything. He did nothing wrong. Hunter Biden was never under any investigation. He did nothing wrong. Giulani fabricated the entire thing, and then Trump *** it up. No, he is not allowed to ask foreign gov'ts to investigate the guy running against him.

someone has got it in their head there is some other transcript, and that Trump moved it around.

Next it will be “trump refuses to give a stool sample, whats he hiding?”
