What if global warming is a good thing ? I mean I'm not going to study to find out but that could happen.
Maybe we should throw millions of dollars at the benefits of global warming.

Maybe we should throw millions of dollars at the benefits of global warming. Nausi said: » Michael Mann, global warming guru who developed the famous hockey stick graph, just lost a legal case because he could not prove his graph was not a fraud. Global warming hoax confirmed. Can we agree that:
The hockey stick is a foundational component of global warming? If the hockey stick is a fraud then global warming is fraudulent at its foundation. Logic is fun. There's a semi-famous Canadian analyst who went over that data when it was released and made a bunch of blog posts about his findings. I'll link one of the pages, but it looks like there were still some things being withheld from Mann's data.

Feel free to use the data that has been available for more than a decade, way before the lawsuit. http://www.meteo.psu.edu/holocene/public_html/shared/research/MANNETAL98/ That doesn't really tell us anything. One of the criticisms is that Mann kept pieces of the data close to the vest. If I really felt like it, I'd have ways of getting findings "independently verified" too, even if they're full of crap. Data obfuscation is an art.
The crux of the matter is in whether Mann withheld data from a court order to protect previously withheld (or missing) information. Remember kids, if you demand to see Einstein’s work, you must be a nazi.

I don't trust Scientist they tend to not have a sense of humor...they are the type of people that takes things too literally.
If I told a Scientist global warming is going to kill us all...they would hide under their desk... Offline

Also it's in a Scientist best interest to keep doing research to prove what they already get paid for...whether this *** believes in global warming or not is not relevant His job is to research stuff. So if you told me as a Scientist my job depended on global warming...I'd post a bunch of numbers and data to keep my job. End of story !

One of the dirty secrets of statistical analysis is that, depending on your field, a vast majority of data is never audited after it changes hands. If person A in a chain hands person B fudged data, and then person B fudges it again before sending a graph to end-user person C, chances are that person C will never know. They're too busy to verify, and likely doesn't have the know-how nor the access to verify even if they wanted to. Offline

However being an internet *** I have a few problems with these moms.
First off you can't demand something. You have to put it to a vote. Second off umm something Third off yea girl power ! Offline

That is a strong notion on the left. Do something... action fight the power take it to the streets...then when it comes time to vote don't do anything !
fonewear said: » Mom's want to end gun violence I laugh at the notion but wish them well nevertheless. Isn't this the mental process of most teenagers? Hear what Mom is demanding -> Do the exact opposite Offline
