Hi,

I'd like to make a thread for people to talk about their experiences getting cells or a glow weapon.
Here's a list from links for mobs/weapons/cells.

Pulse weapons
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Pulse_Panoplia

Ambuscade rewards (listed at bottom of page is eligible weapons)
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Ambuscade_Rewards

I've tried the voidwatch and escha zitah method without any avail.

Can anyone post their own experiences and quick ways of getting through this step without buying cells from ah for 10mil each.

Also, for zitah t3, anyone care to share fast kill methods for those 3 mobs.

I've done smn and thf spam for 5 hours on shockmaw , it's not fast,
Would like to hear quick way to take those 3 mobs down.

Thanks.

NNI was a 1/20 range, for drop but said lucky. @locus Phoenix

This added from @commen Quetzalcoatl

The Zi'tah T3's can be held with Trusts. Positioning is most important for Shockmaw. but since a party of trusts can balance out any DD, you can solo' them w/ pretty much any good enough DD job.

I got one out of the NNI event this month pretty quickly, but a second hasn't shown up yet in about 20 runs. I'm just tricking myself into doing tokens. I don't think this is a solid place to farm when event is up.

It's going to be *** no matter how you slice it. Hell I almost wish they let lolmastertrial weapons count. At least that ***isn't 100% luck based.

1/100 on Zitah

1/1000 on VW

1/1000000 in Legion

1/100000000000000000 in NNI

0/infinity on meebles, *** meebles

1/1 if you farm 25,000 merits... if someone wants to write a lua to deposit merits on the goblin me love you long time.

the real frustrating part is most of us probably already had a couple of those glowy weapons befor from voidwatch spam but tossed them later.

I learned that lesson long ago. They love to make something completely worthless required again. I haven't tossed ANYTHING that isn't common since 2012.

There numbers are pretty accurate. Just from VW alone 1000 seems about how many I did to get a pulse weapon.

I think the only reason I keep it was because it glowed. Glow = good there you have it.

It's not just 10^x. FFXIDB data exists for VW, Legion, and Meebles and I have a good personal sample for shockmaw.

VW:
Aytanri(Morta) and Delphinius(Bismark) are ~1/600.
Asteria and Borealis are ~1/800.
Coruscanti, Murasamemaru, and Ephemeron are ~1/1200.

Meebles:
Tenkomaru is ~1/40(low sample size, could be inaccurate).
Himthige is ~1/50(low sample size).
Adflictio is ~1/90 (low sample size).
Gusterion is ~1/60 (low sample size).
Dukkha is ~1/40 (low sample size).
If you assume they're all the same and combine the data, you get:
127/6777 = 1.87% or 1/54. Up to you whether you're willing to believe they're all the same or not, there's no evidence to back it up.

Legion:
Girru and Ikarigiri are ~1/200.

ADL:
Sagasinger comes out to 1% on the nose on XIDB, so it likely is actually 1/100.

Escha:
Annealed Lance comes out to 54/3514 with slight negative bias from my log parse, so around 1.54% or 1/65(or slightly better).

There isn't a source of trustworthy data to support a droprate on Chastisers or Router, but it's probably safe to assume they are close to the same if not the same as Annealed Lance, SE does like their patterns.

I mean, if you don't want to solo, and you don't want to multibox, you would go with a group.

A GEO to buff damage, a THF for TH, and a strong DPS to skillchain with the THF.

Not sure anyone is using zerg resets for t3, they are trivially weak. You really don't need a specialized strategy, if you're at all up to date go try them and they basically fall over.

Can do them solo, np, they don't fall over, unless you have a video to prove it.
Please provide a example instead of saying they fall over.
It's a 6-10min fight. Duo smn thf
Also let me add, more people in the group means more people lotting the weapon. Are there vids of people solo or duo fast t3 mob?

Uploaded a video for anyone that needs it.

YouTube Video Placeholder

Shockmaw takes pretty much equal amount of time using the same 3 steps strategy. Behemoth is about 1~ min slower because of dmg- mechanic. I can also upload a video for them both next time I do pulse weapon farm.

1/85 on urmuhullu. Then 1/6 right after.

Thf solo, mnejing, seltheus, koru, yoran, ulmia. Build those th procs. Mnejing has dt- 37%, but slower to build hate. He reliably survives wild horn. If tank dies slap on dt gear, tank him yourself and spam evisceration. 7 minute foolproof fights.

It takes my DRK about 2 minutes to kill Urmahlulu, so not as fast as Afania's Cor, but still pretty nice and painless.
