it works great as a tv and i mistook it for a 32inch because of the big bezzels on it. but somehow windows lets me run it at up to 1080p but for all the icons to be on the screen and not off i have to run it at 1280x720 or 1360x768 or 1792x980 or whatever that one is
check if you can set the input to be pc to remove overscan everything looks great except for final fantasy xi .......... when i am zoomed in on my charector it looks great the way it should but when i zoom out everything looks a little grainy and i cant stand that i want it to look as good as it did on my 23 inch 1680x1050 pc screen but on a bigger screen is you background resolutions/foregrounds resolution set correctly for the tv's resolution ? theres tvs on amazon for 60-100 bucks that can run in 1080 res np it might just be worth getting one of those instead. I got rid of a little tv a few years ago because it never scaled correctly with my pc or even with my playstation.. it would cut off the sides. Then if you tried to adjust the horizontal vertical scaling in the playstation or tv the image never filled the screen properly, it was a 720p too. Invested in a 4k tv for pc and a curved screen for the ps4(not a ps4pro)
The TV you got is native 720p (well, 1366x768 per usual there). It's not uncommon for a TV to accept 1080p and scale it though, which is likely why you see it offer that resolution. You'll want to keep it at native.
As mentioned, you'll want to turn off overscan to avoid the picture going off screen. This looks to be something you can toggle (page 22 of your manual), though the VGA input should have it off by default. Some of the other picture quality issues may simply be a matter of adjusting settings. For instance, you may try turning down Sharpness as that tends to introduce haloing, especially on text. |
