GMs can't move character data unless they're connected to the game. For the simple reason that it may compromise your character.

Typically, this is solved by connecting from a different connection. Connect from work or something, should also work simply connecting to your phone's 4G, too.
It's an easy fix.

did you check the final fantasy xi/user folder? i think the folders in there represent a character each and they store stuff like macros for that character.

if you get a D/C while zoning it can happen that one or multiple of those files get corrupted, especially when your harddrive is full to the rim. if i recall correctly then corrupted files have 0 KB size so check all folders in /user and delete those (make a backup of the user folder first, just in case...).

what ever macros the corrupted files were storing will be lost.

did you check the folders inside USER for files with 0 KB size? the folders inside USER folder seem pretty random but each represents one of your characters.

I feel like the times I've seen this pop up all the person had to do was log on with another computer then move to another zone and then it'd go back to working as intended. Been awhile though.

I got stuck in Batallia (s) twice. First time someone had to log into my account and get me out. The second time I forgot and went there again. I had to delete Batallia (s) from the ffxi folder then do a check file. I didn't have an issue after that.

A while back there was a similar issue that would D/C you if you were typing just as you changed areas. Funny enough, the characters that were getting D/C'd were running multiple apps and programs. SE is on to people. I only recently ran into a similar problem. I bit the bullet and removed my User file, then reinstalled FFXI. Haven't seen or had a problem since.

You removed your user file from your computer? I have this issue but it comes up more when I login gf's acct when she is done for the day.

Even without manually deleting the directories you can always remove/reinstall playonline without doing the whole game.

had to fully re-install the game got it all working. SE got back to me from support and all they said was to "log in at a different time" unreal.

Thanks for the help all those who gave me tips! :D

I think I had to delete a file and make the game recreate it to solve it (which reinstalling would have done).
