Trying to keep LGBT people from marrying is indeed bigoted no matter how you would like to mischaracterize it.
Putting the eye-rolling conversation from ye olden days aside, there's a reason why the quote button exists. I thought you were referring to the coolers since, you know, it was mentioned most recently.

Government shouldn't be involved with marriage. Problem solved. The end.

Government has got far to big is the problem. Everything government gets involved in turns to ***. I am very much for smaller government and that is where I clash with a few liberal family members. They seem to want government controlling your life. I am a big advocate of making ones own decisions like healthcare, lifestyle, etc. If you want a extra large soda then get one, don't want healthcare and you wanna roll the dice, hell go for it, wanna marry/have relationship with same sex..Doesn't effect me, go for it.
The one thing I am against that puts me at odds with many liberals is what pisses many people off. DO NOT push your beliefs on me. I often am at odds with my Priest about this so its not just a me against liberals view. What you do in your life is your own business. As long as its not a illegal.
Why can't people just leave others be?

Why can't people just leave others be? If we did that every politician in the known universe would be out of work.

So what's the downside?

Meanwhile, in Sweden.
The far right Sweden Democrats (lol) have fallen short in their country's general election. Sweden is facing a hung parliament much like Britain did during it's last general election (no party has a majority to form a majority government).
Be interesting to see where this goes.
Social Democrats 25.4%
Moderates 18.4%
Sweden Democrats 16.3%
Left Party 9.8%
Centre 9.4%
Christian Democrat 6.6%
Greens 5.8%
Liberals 5.7%

I'm trying to figure out how you came to that conclusion, but he was sentenced for lying to the FBI about his contacts with russians, he pleaded guilty, I don't even think the judge has to see any evidence.
Pleading guilty is not always open and shut. It really depends on the whims of the judge, as the judge ultimately determines if the sentencing is fair. I can't vouch for Nausi's claim because I haven't really delved into the case, but given the short sentence it's logical to assume that there wasn't a deeper crime at play here.

The law does not deal in logic.
But it is just as logical, and faulty, to assume there are other crimes swept under the rug because cooperation.

Fair point, but have you seen his recent statements? He's doubling down on the notion that there was no Russian collusion. Whatever his "cooperation" entailed to only get 14 days in prison, it doesn't seem like it had anything to do with Russia.
