Also, anyone else find it interesting Goku is in his old outfit from Dragon ball?

I have an old manage somewhere with a special interview with Toriyama introducing Goku's new outfit, and the first thing he highlighted was Goku's new shoes and how they no longer have laces.

The opening scene starts with his shoes.

What does this mean?!!

Another Toriyama message or another Toriyama loss of memory?
"I forgot what color Trunks' hair was"
"I forgot what color Bulma's hair was"
"I forgot what hairstyle chichi had"
"I forgot Goku could use Kai-o-ken"
