These are my different sets, I often use Some/Acc depending on Mob.
What you need for gear will really depend on Buffs/debuffs.

Would anyone be able to share their Lua with me, please? Haven't been able to find a good one that's recent.
Looking to maximize my Earth Shots on Ongo v20. Anyone have any exemplars they can share for what's worked for them?

For ongo you should be using empy feet for earth shot, it's a small sacrifice that helps blm dmg
Cerberus.Tikal said: » How much do you hit Mboze for with Wind Shot? I haven't even tried. Was wondering, is arislan going to update the main guide for nyame/ody? It is super great to have the tiering as a totally new cor as I'm struggling still figuring out at what breakpoints to use nyame and well, also if there's any difference in TP sets even (which I don't think so?).
I've been meaning to learn how to *** gear on my own and on some jobs I'm making some progress but I've played cor only for a weak with gear shared from my other jobs so it would really help if the guide also has ody gear for dumb *** like me :P Arisian has asked a few times for someone else to take it over so, I don't think any plans for him to update it.

For Leaden if you have Nyame legs and hands augmented use those the rest shouldnt have changed from the set listed. Last stand Ikenga body, head and legs if attack capped iirc. Offline

Since capping DT is so easy with Nyame now, what is everyone's opinion on the remaining slot in a DT set when survivability is prioritized slightly over damage?
I'm thinking something like this: High MDEF(if NM has strong magical attack) ItemSet 384186 Back has PDT-10%, Max rank Odnowa earring. 41 DT-, 10 PDT-, MDEF in every other slots. Change belt to Sailfi Belt +1 if engaged to cap haste. Back can have DW+10 too if SJ is available. High HP(to avoid 1 shot or for weakened/curse) ItemSet 384185 Max rank on neck. Should have about 3.1-3.2k HP with capped PDT-. Again change belt to Sailfi Belt +1 if engaged to cap haste. Only Swap out Odnowa earring to moonshade for WS to avoid too much HP yoyo. That extra slot can be another HP ring or epona if engaged. Counter ItemSet 384187 Counter +10 on neck/back. Ear 1 2 and ring 2 can be HP or DD gears. Back has DW+10 if dual wielding. If not /NIN and face tanking a mob maybe +20% counter after capping PDT isn't a bad idea? What is everyone else's opinion? :D Leviathan.Celebrindal

I never risk 5/5 nyame for an idle or DT set these days. Yes, the stats are fantastic for that purpose, but on many jobs, its impossible to have high-caliber preshot/midshot/precast/midcast/engaged sets that after their use don't result in leaving you in yellow HP when returning that full Nyame, and HP aggro isn't worth that to me.
Plus, engaged DT sets using malignance are a LOT more effective in keeping you safe while also providing STP. Unless you're planning on 5/5 path A, which I'd have to question why? Offline

It also has less DT which means less "free slot" available after DT capped. I'm trying to build several different DT sets for different situations, not just hybrid DD. Leviathan.Celebrindal said: » Unless you're planning on 5/5 path A, which I'd have to question why? Just FYI, Nyame B also has TP friendly stats like DA+. It's not a bad choice even as hybrid. I personally use the Nyame HP set you listed, except I use Sailfi in waist and Eihwaz Ring instead of Defending Ring. You are already hitting 54 PDT 48 MDT and 44 BDT without Defending Ring (which feels good enough for most everything, but I see the merit to using Defending if you expect crazy breath damage for some reason).
I'm not sure if there's much merit to the MDEF set, usually a combination of MDEF/MEVA and absorption/cancellation fits the bill. Does ~20 extra MDEF outweigh 25 extra MEVA, 5% chance to absorb, and 12% chance to cancel severe damage on average versus current content which could potentially one-shot you with magic damage? I say this considering D-ring, MEVA cape, Warder's Charm, Archon Ring, and Sailfi Belt mixed in with your current set, which lets you cap MDT without Shell as well. |
