What is this guy running for?
Senator of Alabama.
Really? Alabama???

Yeah President Trump was an idiot when he tapped the former Senator for an Executive position. They probably thought Alabama was a guaranteed seat, and here they are.
Moore is wanting a recount. It won't really lead to anything but.. eh.

It's super close but yeah, heavy turnout of urban liberals and low turnout of conservatives. He's lost, not super popular and DNC poured a ton of money against him. I don't expect Jones to be there after 2020.
DNC put out like twice the funding Moore had, if I read correctly.

Also, the DNC spent nothing in Alabama, per the Jones' campaign request. They stayed out of it.

Those four groups are not the same size. The "black vote" is a minority there.

What happened was you had energized urban liberals voting for the cause and a lukewarm conservative base that didn't bother to vote.

More black people turned out to vote for Jones than in 2008 and 2012 when Obama was on the ballot. Needless to say, that was huge. Jones should send some beers to Charles Barkley.

No, what happened was black people went and voted for a man who prosecuted KKK members, vs. an alleged pedophile with a track record of racist, sexist, and homophobic beliefs with dwindling support from his own party. Alongside a minority of white people in Alabama that voted to be on the right side of history.

It's a shame to say that this was even a close race.

Moore put this dude on CNN against Jake Tapper and rode to the ballots on a horse and still almost won.

50% of Trump's vote turned out
90% of Clinton's did

All it means is that if the media machine keeps the volume up on it's 40 year old allegations with forged evidence. Votes can still be suppressed by stigma and shame.

I look forward to the seemingly massive series of coincidences that will include every GOP candidate from now on getting a sexual misconduct allegation.

Appeasement of the left breads escalation every time. I hope that people learn that sooner than later.

Jones prosecuted and convicted Klansmen for murdering black girls in an infamous church bombing.

A cold case that had been ignored for too long.

Moore's story kept changing, therefore eroding his base.

"Alabama can do better than this."

He wouldn't have won without Republican crossovers. Look for the analyses tomorrow.

I have come to believe that if there was a statewide race in Alabama with Satan running as a Republican and Jesus running as a Democrat the good Christians of Alabama would be SO conflicted.

Say hi to the 2018 Democrat platform

Call your opponent a racist.
If that doesn't work call them a Russian agent.
If that doesn't work call them a rapist.

Really sad that you can't hold explicitly racist and homophobic views without being called a racist or bigot. Nor withstand credible kid rape accusations without being called a rapist. -crying bald eagle gif-

Something similar worked from Trump against Crooked Hillary.

She can be a crooked liar, however. Much like Trump.
I've spent years trying to emulate insanity, it's much the same for Hillary, she can act delusional, but she'll never be as delusional as Trump

This is pretty much true across the board though as I've tried to explain several times.

People seem to forget this and it's why the "outrage" over misdeeds is so easy to overlook in-party.

When you already assume the other person is as bad as a pedophile/racist/etc. in the first place, it's way easier to go "Well I guess maybe he diddles kids, but at least he's pro-life (or whatever)."

Please remember that to some deeply religious people being gay is the same as being a pedophile and the Democrats are stringently pro-gay so for some people the entirety of the Democratic party enables pedophiles already.

Obviously I don't agree with this, but it's really not that hard to see where they're coming from in supporting Moore still.

This, but non-sarcastically.

The Democratic party is really bad at understanding correlation and causation.

They'd claim Jesus was actually the Anti-Christ and urge people to vote for Satan as the lesser of two evils.
