Hard to argue that it matters for legitimate new players though.

Even with the 1-99 process fully botted, I don't get to 99 in 1 day (10 hours playtime.. it doesn't run 24/7). If you don't have a PL, you're not going to be short on seals. If you have a PL, they're an inconvenience, especially if doing multiple characters at once. I think it's useful to have them available for multiboxers to make new characters a bit faster/easier, and that means more money for SE.

Of course, the "limited sample size" thing and all. I'd say the amount of people that started at day 0 with a brand new character and got to Omen/Dyna then quit far outweigh the number of people that got burned out doing V25/Sortie. If I had one gil for every new player that got help with Ambu/Omen/Dyna/Ody only to disappear.. Ovalidal said: » Apparently, I'm awful at money management. I started in 2022 and got a couple people to start with me. Didn't hit lvl. 99 for while because I was getting through missions alright. Loved the story, it was the main reason I kept coming back. Life is busy, but I resub whenever I can to do Ambu, Omen, Dynamis D, and Unity NMs whenever I get the chance. It's a ton of fun. Of course, the "limited sample size" thing and all. I played back in the day, but when I first returned from 75-cap days I really enjoyed leveling with trusts. Going from memories of seeking for hours(unless RDM) for a party of uncertain quality and duration to suddenly being able to have a bespoke exp party on demand, anytime felt awesome. Sure, these days I'm a jaded multiboxer and will cleave up any alt that needs a new 99 job, but I leveled everything on my main to 99 by hand with trusts because I enjoyed it, not because it was efficient. Since the update
Every other day have been getting Error Code:POL-0206 Is this happening to anyone else? buttplug said: » Since the update Every other day have been getting Error Code:POL-0206 Is this happening to anyone else? I am having that issue right now.... Well, there's 10 hour maint "right now" so, there's that
Just checked the play online website
Looks like a long maintenance Like several hours long buttplug said: » Like several hours long Scheduled to end in 90 minutes from now, supposedly. Sometimes ends earlier sometimes later. There's also crafting. And boy, once you get deep enough into that, you start wishing you were just doing daily Omen/Sortie/Odyssey... There's always the master grind. Surely ain't nobody got every job at ML50... surely...
But yeah it's also REMA making. Which takes all sorts of stuff after you run out of Ambu for the month. And every job has an easy entry level bit, but goes wicked deep when you commit to playing one well. No no, there's also the collect all titles game to get a rank increase.
See, not all bad. TL:DR if you play XI music on teh yootoobz/twitches you gonna get copy-write striked.
Expect "zomg square cancelling private servers and/or streamers and the sky is falling" in the semi to immediate future. Quote: Updates to the JASRAC Trust and Terms of Use for all FFXI Music The music copyrights for the original music used in Final Fantasy XI have been managed by us in Japan, but we have now entrusted them to the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC). In line with this, we have updated our Terms of Use for copyrighted material. When using Final Fantasy XI music data on the Internet, please use services that have entered into comprehensive license agreements with JASRAC. You can check the services that have entered into license agreements with JASRAC on the following JASRAC official website. ■JASRAC "List of UGC services that have entered into license agreements" https://www.jasrac.or.jp/information/topics/20/ugc.html In addition, when posting videos to services that have not entered into license agreements with JASRAC, such as X, please upload the video to a service that has entered into a license agreement and then post the page URL on X. (Example: Upload a video to YouTube and post the video URL on X.) In addition, there is no problem with posting silent videos without music data or videos that include non-music data such as sound effects directly on X. FINAL FANTASY XI Copyright Terms of Use http://sqex.to/33W It actually says that if you play XI music on X, you will get striked.
JASRAC already has agreements with youtube(and twitch, I believe), so it's fine to post it on youtube. It's also fine to post it on youtube and link it on X. You just can't host it on X. I don't pay any attention to existing agreements. It's not a thing I need to know.
Just waiting for the panic tbh (or helping cause it, either way) I want another streamer to pretend to get banned/DMCA'd. That was a fun week. What are the rules with streams of modified XI with the previously beautiful music ripped out and replaced by.. some kind of mix of the original tracks to "improve" the soundtrack.

Beast medal price cut in half before the login campaign even started, without the exploit lol
Sad state that ~5 medals per mule make that many people show their desperation for 3m They dropped by ~25% (~800k to ~600k) and there's already people buying them out to price fix [none of those stacks are actually listed at 60m, it's just bait to get others to sell cheap]. So, not really.
800k(+) and the low of 500k and it just started (
Ah yes
Those 10+++ purchases from Oberoon, Modeko and Keyappa are totally for their use and will not be put back on the AH in the future. This is equivalent to “buy the dip”. Youd think someone who supposedly makes a living selling gil would know better. |
