Dev Tracker - Discussion
You're right. This doesn't effect me, and my opinions don't represent everyone's opinions. I shouldn't be being negative about something that so many are excited about, and while I still personally feel they could have done it in a much better way, it's good that you guys have something to look forward to.

Keep on white knighting for the people ripping you off, it's not pathetic or anything so at least you have your dignity intact. Your asinine comments aside, what exactly are you expecting? They literally announced FFXI would receive no more major updates all the way back in 2015. That was 7 years ago. Despite that, we've received plenty of meaningful and substantial updates, including battle content, job updates, quests, ect. No expansions, sure. But we're getting a new storyline right now that is free and is equal in scope narratively at least to one of the paid add-on scenarios if not more. The devs are on record saying an expansion is off the table, likely for reasons they have no control over. The community has "low expectations" because we've literally been told the updates would be more humble in nature. It's no one's fault but your own that you're living in a fantasy world. Move on dude. Offline

Nah, I'm gonna do what I want and post what I want and the white knight Redditors that screech at me for not posting what they want how they want are just gonna have to keep blocking and dealing with their feelings. Contrary to whatever you may think, this isn't a new discussion, it's happening all the time. Any discussion to improve the game that doesn't start with massively expanding the player base is DOA, and people aren't willing to embrace what that means or what it would take. Offline

We're not willing to embrace it because SE isn't willing to embrace it. Foaming at the mouth every time someone points that out to you isn't going to change that.
But hey, if you're willing to waste your time crying about something that isn't going to happen into deaf ears instead of just going and spending your time elsewhere doing something you enjoy, be my guest. Jeez, this thread got funky.
Why argue at all? Those of us that are content with the state of the game can play it and enjoy it. Those that aren't can move on with their lives.
And if you're not happy with the direction of the game, complain on the official forums where the devs might see it. Because you'll never convince me or anybody else who is still enjoying the game that we should actually be disappointed. Devs do read here tho...

People talk ***like feelings can't be hurt. Maybe they just want to play around in starting areas. I'm sure they are informed what to do for a live stream by upper management.
I think a lot of us that still play this game after 20 years are always gonna wish it did better. It's friggin' good though. I don't think many of us would still be playing if it was a dumpster fire.

The picture is pretty funny admittedly, I'm just happy you're embracing the message of "quit crying and move on"
For better accuracy, replace that picture with one with a completely safe ship on land, and a captain that would sooner hit the self-destruct button than follow any significant suggestions.
nothing is more cringe than a
If I wanted to see that ***I'd go post on Reddit. Offline

Anywho, we should probably get this post back on track before a bunch of folks get banned.
They said they're increasing the master level cap. I hope at some point it leads to apex mobs in some of the old school leveling zones like the Dunes. Would be a nice nostalgia trip to go fight Apex Lizards or something in the old Lizard camp near Konschat Highlands zone line. So I would like to taco-bout something else. Looks like they are just gonna get banned for a few days because they can't get along. Like I get it. We get it. 14 launch was a disaster. It took a lot of people from 11. The company is always gonna protect their money and 14 makes bank.
Yep, Bosworth. You saw that airstrike coming a mile away. I wish more people would just not write walls of text and bicker. I guess wish in one hand and ***in the other, as they say.
Post back on track. Did you just say Apex monsters in Valk? Okay, well big *** energy on that end. I do miss Valk parties. Gobs. Flies. Crabs. Man, you needed to know a WHM for them raises.
As long as they're non agro and non link.
putting high level mobs near the starting cities back in the day was a terrible idea.
