Random Politics & Religion #28: The Last One

It's like nobody proofreads their posts anymore.
What was the point in removing the edit feature again?
So we can't catfish each other by posting one thing and then change what we say when we're wrong/start more of a fight than we meant to.

So we can't catfish each other le Google Dictionary, the most wonderful online dictionaries out there said: lure (someone) into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona.
Look, I like ya man, but I don't want to get into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona. I'm oldfashioned and like my relationships offline.
Easier to bang that way.
Edit: Damn it Lina!

Speaking of scams:
My wife is trying to get someone to buy our elliptical so we can replace it with a few other things. Some dude offered to pay us with a cashier's check.
Now, we turned down the offer because of other shady aspects (his area code, for instance, being like 1000 miles away).
That said, who (and why the *** would you) uses cashier checks these days?

That said, who (and why the *** would you) uses cashier checks these days? I do, quite often it seems.
Only on bigger purchases, and only when asked by whoever I'm buying from.
It's usually a company that sells bigger items though. Like cars and RVs.
It's not that my checks aren't good, it's just that there's usually a 3-5 day waiting period for anything over $1,000, and some people are impatient like that.

At least it wasn't a travelers check?

Is this really the last PnR thread? Yes and no.
I don't think Kojo/Rooks is going to close this one down, but they aren't going to start a new one like "usual"

What was the point in removing the edit feature again You answered your own question there. I thought it was because you hate us all.
You sadistic people who hide behind the curtain like to watch us normals post without the edit button, laughing at every misspell and grammar error, giddy with the thought of us having to actually read our posts before hitting submit.
Which, frankly, nobody really does. Obviously.
You sadistic freaks you!

I've only been asked for one once and it was by a shady landlord in my post-college hellhole who wanted the security deposit and first month's rent as a cashier's check or money order.
He himself wasn't shady in business (though he was a *** and a cheapskate) but I suspect a lot of his tenants were...less than wholesome.
Other than that -- four cars, an apartment, and a house later -- I've never been asked for one for anything, ever.
Apparently it's not an entirely uncommon scam on Craig's List though and that's what this was so...yeah.
Pass. Gimme the cash.

Well, don't accept cashier's checks or money orders from people unless you specifically asked for it.
Odds are that they are forgeries, and the banks who are referenced on the paper would refuse payment.

My guess for removing the edit feature is this:
Many people (including myself) will hastily post and then later or immediately start editing the post to add or take away from, all the while that post has already been replied to and quoted in a big side track from what the OP edited in later to further clarify their post.

You should trade it for some good craft beer/whiskey.

You don’t need an edit button if you can’t post.
Just sayin’

Yeah. Like I said, wasn't even the shadiest thing about it, imo, but yeah. Shot that down.

Certainly plenty of video games out right now, Mario Odyssey, AC: Origins, Wolfenstein 2, Evil Within 2, and Southpark. And COD comes out next week.

It’s alright apparently Donald Trump is also a woman:
That or Carolin Gallego learned English from the same school as Donald Trump.
I’m leaning towards being one and the same.

if i were to say:
"i wanna marry a black woman."
is that racist ?
>just askin and honestly, i'd rather a redbone anyways- best of both worlds. I don't think racial preference has anything to do with racism any more than gender preference would have to sexism.
