Cutting taxes for the wealthy is always touted as an economic stimulus ala Adam Smith's "Invisible Hand"... but history shows us it never succeeds. Wealthy no, business's yes. The problem is Liberals, like yourself, have absolutely no way to distinguish between those two groups. In your crusade to punish those evil wealth-hording scourges, you end up also punishing all the people who are forming or running business's that hire people and drive the economy. You end up shooting off your own arm in your attempts at social justice. Face it, evil wealthy Bond villains are smarter then you, much smarter. They are so smart that they've long since discovered how to mobilize an army of minions to do their bidding and fight against their competition at wealth hording, your part of that army. Any attempts at bleeding or hurting those evil wealth-hording Bond villains will do absolutely nothing but further impoverish yourselves and further the goals of those same evil villains you pursue with fanatical fervor. Funny thing, President Trump was once part of that cabal of evil wealthy overlords, he fully supported the Democrat party whenever it was politically advantageous, and then supported the Republicans when it fit the moment, all like the opportunist he is. Uh oh, Trump's approval rate is starting to rise!

Pretty sure carter's was lower are you sure? not that that is saying much LOL I think we'll see a definite shift in approval rating sometime around next April if Trump's tax plan gets through mostly intact. The middle class seeing their standard deductions doubled is money in the wallet, which is doing more for the middle class than they've seen in a long time.

So I'm not sure what you are trying to brag about. All I'm doing is pointing out that one of the arguments a certain economic denier makes on a constant basis is being invalid. Then again, it always have been invalid. Insulting platitudes, gross misattributions and references to fictional caricatures asides... historically speaking depressions and recessions in 20th Century America have been preceded by policies that promote cutting taxes. Examples being Mellonomics, Reaganomics and G.W.Bush's EGTRRA & JGTRRA.
If you guys really believe what you say, then you must answer, why the years where the New Deal policies predominated were so prosperous, where as the years dominated by trickle down models (Mellon 20's, Reagan 80's, Bush 00's) have been characterized by financial instability. Quote: Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly announced on Wednesday the official launch of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s office for victims of illegal immigrant crime, and a program to help track the custody status of violent, illegal perpetrators. ICE’s Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office (VOICE) was created in response to President Trump’s executive order to enhance public safety, which directed the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to support victims of crimes committed by criminal aliens. “All crime is terrible, but these victims are unique — and often too ignored,” Kelly said on Wednesday. “They are casualties of crimes that should never have taken place — because the people who victimized them often times should not have been in the country in the first place.” Kelly outlined objectives of VOICE, including a “victim-centered approach” to support victims and their families, along with promoting awareness of available services to crime victims, such as the new automated service, DHS-Victim Information and Notification Exchange, which was created to help victims track the immigration custody status of those illegal alien perpetrators of crime. According to DHS, ICE community relations officers will serve as “local representatives” to share information with victims regarding the enforcement and removal process of illegal aliens. According to DHS, ICE has 27 victim-assistance specialists across the country who possess a “high degree” of specialized victim-assistance expertise and training. “ICE is employing a measured approach to building the VOICE office — meaning that it intends to expand the services VOICE offers in the future,” DHS said in a statement on Wednesday. “This approach allows the office to provide immediate services to victims, but will also allow the agency to collect metrics and information to determine additional resource needs and how the office can best serve victims and their families moving forward.” Let's see if any democrats/liberals automatically attack this. Nothing says "we care about people" like attacking an agency that helps victims of immigrant-related crimes. What's interesting is that Trump is up 5% in average favorability ratings from where he was at on election day.

I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but the programming I happen to catch is always so bad that I can't imagine watching it at home. BREAKING NEWS: We found a random guy who voted for Trump who is willing to say on camera that he doesn't like him anymore. Stick around while we hype the story for two hours. You mean two weeks.
