He may not be required by law to release his tax returns, but every presidential candidate in the past four decades (with the exception of Gerald Ford, who released tax summary data) has. At least we're all aware that breaking with precedent is nothing new or surprising for Trump's campaign and administration.

Do I think there's something illegal in them? Nah. I don't think he's released them because his wealth and business acumen were one of his main selling points during the campaign. At his Comedy Central Roast, you could joke about his hair, his weight, his wives, him wanting to *** his own daughter... the only jokes that were off limits were "any joke that suggests Trump is not actually as wealthy as he claims to be."

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rich and poor people don't pay taxes so I really don't see what the big deal is. You don't like it run for Congress get elected and change the tax codes !

He's really disappointed a lot of people with saying stuff like
"I'll do a full disclosure of finances" and "if I run for office I'd produce my tax returns absolutely and I would love to do that"

The only people left to be surprised by this behavior are the people that voted for him and believed in him, sadly.

Luckily, not one single one of his voters voted for him to see his taxes or anything involving his finances. Surprises and disappointment avoided.
I wish you were right. If you monitor how many of his voters tweet at him this very sentiment at an exponentially increasing rate each week, you'll see what I mean.
Actually, every single one of these calls to "see his tax return" comes from people who not only voted for Clinton, but would vote for her again if given the chance.

Even if she goes out and murders their children, they would still blindly vote for her (and write a piece about how their child deserved being killed).

King, I didn't say he had to show us his tax returns, I said I wanted to see them.
You do know the saying.

You can want in one hand and ***in the other, and see which one fills up first.

People would still blindly vote for Trump if he shot their children on 5th Ave. Then write an opinion editorial about how it was an honor to be his victim.

schizm2, Lent is the lead up to Easter. All christian faiths at least notice it, but the Catholics have the strictest rules on what you can and cannot do during Lent.

------

So a nice Jewish girl marries a nice Catholic boy. On the honeymoon evening she dresses in a filmy, frilly nightgown and slips into bed with her new husband. He kisses her chastely on the cheek and rolls over.

"Wait a minuet, this is not how this is supposed to go. I know, I've read books about sex."

"Sorry honey but I can't, its Lent."

"LENT??!! That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. To whom and for how long?"

McCain to Trump: Put up or shut up.
WaPo

Quote:
Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.) called Sunday for President Trump to either prove his claim that President Barack Obama tapped the phones in Trump Tower during last year’s election campaign or drop the accusation.

“The president has one of two choices, either retract or provide the information that the American people deserve,” McCain said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I have no reason to believe that the charge is true, but I also believe that the president of the United States could clear this up in a minute.”

McCain is one of several top lawmakers in Congress to call on Trump to provide evidence of his unsubstantiated claim that Obama ordered Trump’s communications monitored. The senator’s call for more information follows a request from two leading members of the Senate Judiciary Committee for “copies of any warrant applications and court orders — redacted as necessary … related to wiretaps of President Trump, the Trump Campaign, or Trump Tower.”

Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) formally requested the information last week in a letter to FBI Director James B. Comey and acting deputy attorney general Dana Boente. Trump administration officials have not provided any evidence to back up the president’s claim from earlier this month.

McCain avoided directly criticizing Trump for using Twitter to spread unverified information, but the senator said a serious charge, such as accusing a former president of illegal wiretapping, should not be handled lightly.

“If the allegation is left out there, it undermines the confidence the American people have in the entire way that the government does business,” McCain said.
