Luckily, we have a person who (mostly) set aside his investments and given up all power over them to his family members.
What a *** joke.

Of course, the natural response here is just to say all I'm doing is what your glib image states...but I digress. Well, the natural response would be to say, "It's a joke! Chill!" You'll feel better when you go to his Twitter and see all the Trump jokes. Things are less offensive when they're said by people on the same side of the fence. I do miss Obama now I can't blame him for everything.

Occam's Razor would suggest that it's more likely for people to not be able to see any good in someone than it is for a person to actually have no good in them. I think the people who don't support trump largely don't understand what competence looks like. fonewear said: » I do miss Obama now I can't blame him for everything. Even if Trump was a democrat and won they would still be pissed off.

My point is that people take politics too personal. I don't know Hillary or Obama or Trump personally. So to hate the actual person is crazy. I stick to political policies not the people.

I'm actually not the biggest fan of Twitter in general as 140 character is really easy to misconstrue no matter how good you are at concisely making a point. The Donald, obviously, uses this to his advantage by maintaining plausible deniability about nearly everything under the sun with his jackass tweets. fonewear said: » My point is that people take politics too personal. Or Mitt Romney. I actually like John McCain, I just don't always agree with him. But Donald has been a smug bully since I was a child. I remember seeing him on television in the 80s and knowing he was a jackass. The past 30 years of experience and his media whoring have not changed that. He's a piece of ***. Last nights firing was excellent the swamp is at least 1 inch less full from it.
The track back to nick names was just as tasty. "Fake tears chuck" is awesome. Offline

I understand that his personality is not likable. I don't like the way he acts necessarily but you have to understand where he is coming from. When everyone is against you. You tend to project a certain way. His entire life has been fighting with the press/media and having to defend himself.

I don't care what your politics are when you are surrounded by negative press 24/7 it would change you.

Have you considered that there are literally thousands of celebrities in this country and very few of them have the problems he does? Dunning-Kruger effect: a cognitive bias in which low ability individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability as much higher than it really it is. This bias is attributed to a meta cognitive incapacity on the part of those with low ability to recognize their ineptitude and evaluate their competence accurately. There is also a corollary where high ability individuals may underestimate their relative competence and erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are easy for others. You don't get to see Trump in his private life. I'm not saying the way he acts is good necessarily. I'm just saying that he has been like this forever. And he won't change. fonewear said: » I'm just saying that he has been like this forever. And he won't change. Well we agree on that. If there is a natural disaster or any one country is overwhelmed, We all come together and help each other; innocent lives stuck during wartime are no different. If someone bombed the USA for example and it's people had to evacuate large parts of the country due to it being unlivable, likely most of the world's countries would be there to offer help and shelter to it's innocent citizens. Did you know it's way easier and less expensive to help there people in their region. In fact for the cost of moving one refugee here, you can help about 12 in one of the neighboring countries in the more stable parts of the Middle East. So why bring them here at all? Maybe it's because leftists would rather look virtuous on front of the cameras than actually help people. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » He only was targeted by the left when he ran against them. Surely you can see the cause-effect relationship here? Nausi, I understand what you're saying and I can respect that the media isn't doing anyone any favors right now, but I must reiterate that I have actually hated this man since I was a child. I know a bully when I see one and he's so smug an arrogant that he shames the worst high school bully giving underclassmen wedgies. In fact he's so bad it wouldn't surprise me if he actually visits his various schools of his past and gives swirlies to kids there now. He really strikes me as that petty, vindictive, and insecure. People with real confidence don't need to lash out at every little slight that crosses their periphery. That is not the projection of strength you think it is and claim to admire. That is a scared little boy afraid someone will see his weakness. Ragnarok.Nausi said: » Did you know it's way easier and less expensive to help there people in their region. If you were okay with foreign aide and deposing tyrannical world leaders. But sovereignty is apparently paramount and if they want to be despots oppressing entire portions of their population, who are we to intervene? This is, among other things, why so many doctors turn into Rx drug dealers and then are astonished when they get caught. They think they're too smart for people to catch on. |
