I just hit 110 Goldsmithing. The main reason I got the Orvail ring was because of the synthesis skill gain rate on it. Now that I've capped out, is it still worth to use? Mainly for the HQ rate?

To me, depending how often you craft (and especially being goldsmith), I'd keep it. An extra 1% HQ rate is better than nothing.
