The SE coast urban areas lean dem and are usually the last votes totaled. Despite the panhandle being on central time.

But it could be wishful thinking too.

I mean, no matter what happens tonight, we still have to wake up on January 21st with a President Trump or President Clinton.
There is an alternative.

I don't recommend it.

As I saw a Tweet excellent summarize:

"Janet Reno saw the Cubs win the World Series and didn't have to endure the end of this shitshow election. Perfectly timed, ma'am."

Sheesh, all the hipsters on my Facebook feed took a sharp turn from "Third party votes matter, our voices have to be heard, no vote is a wasted vote" straight to "If you voted third party in Florida, *** YOU."

Given that a third party vote is a "*** you" in the first place, I think that's really an acceptable stance.

"*** you!"
"No, *** you!"
"Okay, neither of us actually matters, let's go back to have a beer and go to work tomorrow, because real people don't get to stay home whining about the election results."

Welp, at work I'm surrounded by a variety of political views (with a few on both sides that are fairly outspoken about it), so tomorrow is guaranteed to be super awkward either way.

I actually got blindsided by a Trump diatribe at work the other day by my supervisor when I went in to ask a simple question about a work-related business process that had recently changed.

It was, uh.

Uncomfortable. I mean, his reasons for support the Donald were about as good as reasons can be for supporting him...but like...man. All I wanted to know was if one little aspect of an old process stayed the same or not because it wasn't covered in the memo.

I didn't really need to know how you felt about health care reform. Our health care coverage is the same, man. I know what's up on our end. Tone it down, brother.

I dunno, the plus side of having just lost my job is I can apply up there as well. I was surprised to find out actually a lot of the gas and electric companies in Upstate NY are headquartered out of Toronto.

I don't know any French but... *** Montreal anyway right?

If you live in upstate NY you might as well call yourself a Canadian anyways.

It's really true. My family was from there and even though I never lived there myself I still grew up with a very slight Canadian accent thanks to their influences.

Through years of training, however, I learned to say "about" and not "aboot."

Yeah, I always hate this last part of the elections where it takes forever to declare a winner.

I have been watching it because I have been on the toilet nonstop the last few hours.

I ate some microwave mac'n'cheese while taking a Skyrim break, I looked at the election results at the same time and now I honestly can't tell if it is related to the mac'n'cheese or if the election has actually scared the ***out of me.

You guys are all more politics and government savvy than me.

Just so I can sleep tonight, I have to ask.

We have made sure, at some point, that it is not actually possible for a US President to just say "*** it, no more elections, I am King now." right?

I mean... no one stopped him from running when they should have, but there has got to be something in place to stop him from ACTUALLY becoming Hitler 2.0 right? Please?
