This is somewhere in the american anthem too right?

Why do you think "socialism" is a curse word here?
Because it's a theory that is counter to what it preaches (Social equality for all, where the community owns and shares resources and equally distributes them regardless of effort made by members of said community), where the biggest flaw of the theory is that it assumes humans to be something that they are not.

I thought the lessons of France would have stayed with people about the dangers and inefficiencies of socialism.

My statement of your country handling minimum wage poorly and worse than a lot of developed countries is unrelated to your society being different from Canada's.
And your opinion is based on your viewpoints between our societies.

Which, like I stated, are two completely different things and impossible to compare.
You are incorrect on the bolded. My opinion is based on what I've learned from Americans about their own country, regardless of what I think about my own society.
So, are you saying you have a complete picture of America and what it represents? Or just the very limited viewpoint of what you seen online?

Make your argument.

We can discuss the merits of capitalism vs. socialism if you like.

He's too delusional to understand France isn't even socialist.
Right, and François Hollande is really from the tea party.

Although not a full-blown socialist like Sanders, they are as closest to a first-world socialist country as ever. Not doing so great now, are they?

Neither. Please stop creating random examples and posing them as my own.

I've traveled to many states in your country over the years (nothing as in depth as visiting every state though) and talked to a lot of Americans to help understand seen their opinions on this issue, not just your assumption for exclusively digital communication or from politicians.
You were the one who stated that your opinion is based on your viewpoint of America, which you just said that I was wrong in stating such.

I think the point I was making is that both Socialism and Capitalism are both subject to greed of men and both fail because of that aspect. That is the reason why neither of them can exist in their "purest of forms".

We actually recently got an Urban reserve completed in my city this last year and it's been exciting seeing what opportunities this opens up for the local band, the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation....
Is an urban reserve anything like an indian bar?

You need a bit of both because they are both based on basic human instincts too, you can't erase the one you like less completely, you have to implement it into your model.
How to do that in the best manner however is a matter of discussion that has been going on since velociraptors(ok maybe not that long ago) and we're not likely to solve it here on this forum.

And yet another front opens in the multi-faceted Syrian conflict....

Turkey Warplanes on Alert After Syrian Strike on Turkish Troops
VOA News

Quote:
GAZIANTEP, TURKEY —

Turkish F-16 warplanes were put on emergency standby Thursday after Ankara accused the Syrian government of having carried out an airstrike on Turkish troops operating in northern Syria that left three soldiers dead and 10 others wounded, one critically.

Western diplomats expressed concern the airstrike overnight Wednesday by a Syrian air force L-39 Albatros light-attack warplane marks a highly dangerous turn of events in the five-year-long Syria conflict and risks bringing Syria and Turkey into a major clash....
And lots more.

There is no TLDR but here's a quick rundown.

Turkey has a military operation inside Syria with the support of militiamen from the Free Syrian Army (FSA), mostly to counter Kurdish militias, who the USA supports and supplies. A current objective for all three is the Syrian town of al-Bab, northeast of Aleppo.

This is getting too close for comfort or for Syrian government forces which, for the first time, launched a strike directly on Turkish troops.

No one supports Turkey in this endeavor.

When you are going up against derelict Albatros jets you really don't need anyone's support.
