People don't seem to understand that by stating it's a choice, that means you also made that choice to be straight. If it was a choice for you, then that means you are attracted to both sexes. Never fantasized about a guy in your life? Then you didn't make a decision. What is so difficult to understand that there are people who have never been interested in the opposite sex? There's no deciding involved. No more than deciding you have the height you have. Like I said, you don't have to believe that, but the two opinions cannot coexist and both be respected. It's not even necessarily something about being born that way. That's more foggy, but pretending as though someone actively made a choice? No. I'd wager you didn't. And don't mistake being attracted to one sex and then deciding to go against that urge is the same thing. That's the only decision involved for anyone. You're attracted to what you're attracted to, deciding to pursue it is the only decision.

So, you are right, it isn't a choice that we outwardly make but rather a subconscious choice that we make that will be near impossible to change.
