I'd say we don't dope athletes. At least not on government directives/orders/explicit knowledge.

I don't say that because I think our politicians are above that, but because we have such a visceral reaction to steroids in this country. See: every steroid scandal of the past twenty years...the government involved in baseball. Why? I STILL don't get why there were government hearings on baseball!

That's not to say we don't likely have our fair share of cutting-edging doping going on at an individual level for some specific sport/athletes. But I doubt it's a largely wholesale, across-the-board thing like Russia's has been.

Speaking of doping, I read among those disqualified are the archers too...

Why the hell would you dope archers?! What are you doing injecting hawk essence into their veins? Make em drink chamomile? Feed em carrots until they're all orange?

Who would even think of doping the archery team lol.

Eh, I took it a little far the other way. He hired her, it's not like he was her puppet or anything. But she did a lot of his material for his show back in the day and helped him punch up his routines, things like that.

I dunno. I'm a really big fan of stand up. I don't like as many of the women, but that's not really directly their fault for following a formula that works. I just tend to not like trashy sorority sisters and that's pretty much the template for a lot of female stand up. I don't like guys who harp entirely on the whole "stereotypical differences between men and women" bits either. It's played out and boring.

Schumer's pretty good but I think she's been seeing how rough the spotlight can be in some ways, especially for a female comic and why so many of them end up writers for others and for shows more than on the perma-circuit the way a lot of the guys do.

I didn't see that. I knew the entire Russian group was staying home and pouting on orders of Comrade Putin, but I didn't see the archery team tested positive.

Maybe some sort of...eh. I dunno. Some sort of Awesome Potion of Steady Aim +2 or something.
