Synergy Glitch?

So while trying to "recurse" my +1 sets I've come across a weird problem:
I've been trying to recurse a pair of Hecatomb Leggings +1 back to the Cursed Leggings -1 and keep getting "Unable to proceed. Hct. Leggings +1 are not suitable for synergy."

The normal recipe for these synths is:
+1 Item
Corresponding Abjuration
1 Umbral Marrow
Lv. 49 Synergy

Now, when I look on BG's Synergy page I find that it says it needs the Hecatomb Cap +1 for both the recuring of the -1 Head and Feet pieces. Is this some type of glitch?

If anyone has any information on this it would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance!
