Was Hillary careless? Yes. That's not being debated. Your boy McCain lost and then Romney lost harder. Obama has turned out to be a better president than diehard Conservatives would have liked and now his legacy will look even better with Trump or Clinton following.

I'm not a Republican nor am I a Democrat but part of that middle group of independent swing voters. My state even has proportional representation of the Electoral College instead of "winner take all".
McCain was just a sock puppet for the Republican power brokers, you could see the strings hanging out of his back when he spoke. Romney was just another shill for those same power brokers.
