At the same time with regard to the support of David Duke and his followers he has in the past on several occasions denounced him and vilified that mindset. Then when it served to benefit him, he played dumb. That's more Teflon than Regan and Gotti. It's kind of scary.

I feel it is intellectually dishonest however to attack him over that sentence. By all means, he could be incestuous, but that statement is not indicative of anything other than being proud of his daughter.
I don't like purposedely directed malice, even if the target is someone I greatly dislike. It is unfair.

That's the point though, he may not personally be racist or a racialist (there is a difference), but if you don't condemn it due to it benefiting you, then you're indirectly supporting it and promoting it.
