Is The Game Still Very Active?

Hey guys, I was thinking about returning to FFXI and playing it from scratch.
FFXI was very fun to play but it was even more fun with other people. I'd like to get on with a group again and enjoy content / leveling and End game.

Is the community still active and do people still play on a regular basis?

Is there a server that has players playing between 7-10pm EST most days?

Anyone willing to allow me to join their group?

There are 880 people on Odin at this very moment.

The game is still very alive, with consistent monthly updates for quite a few years now. Obviously due to it's age and release of many MANY WoW clones, population isn't anything like it was. Luckily, a ton of content can be done low man.

I hear Odin and Asura are the 2 most populous NA servers.

I have another question is there alot of folks still doing PvP on Odin?
