Really most of the figures in Amano's art are rather Bowie-esque.

Idk if it's only because I now know he had cancer, but looking at that photo I don't think he looks well - despite the beaming smile and the smart outfit.

It's understandable he kept his illness a secret but it made the shock so much greater. His music has been a huge part of my life and it's difficult to grasp that he's actually gone.

It's sad. I will miss him terribly for the rest of my life. So much more than just a musician or artist. My only solace is the thought that he left the world a better place than he entered and somewhere else in the wide wide universe, someone or something needed the Starman more than we do now. Hopefully he'll do for them what he did for us.
