Help Installing

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've been having trouble finding it.
I'm trying to get back into FFXI for a time, I own the Ultimate Edition. Trying to install it on my laptop but every time I try to run the installer it tells me that it can't open the data files, which I've redownloaded a few times and I'm not sure what to do with them? Never had this trouble before.

You'll need to open and view the CD contents if you own the CD. and install manually one at a time - preferably in order. with POL > FFXI >Zilart > COP > ToAU and so forth

Funny enough, the Japanese client is packed with WinRAR.


Install fresh using it. Will save you a couple of headaches. Also it's the most up to date install they put out, meaning you will end downloading less files than using the original installer you got when you bought the game.
