Sounds like he said the only way we can defeat Islamic terrorism in the USA is to welcome them with open arms.

YouTube Video Placeholder

Oh and I was unaware people on the terrorist watch list could walk right into a gun store and buy a gun. He also forgot to mention that California gun laws failed to stop this tragedy while he believes the entire USA needs more gun laws like California.

Not to mention we all know he does not take his intelligence briefing every morning.

Glad you learned something. Its a current fact of life in the USA. You can't get on a plane, but you can walk into a gun store and buy a gun.

Do we really need to have a new thread about every single thing you want to comment on just because you couldn't behave in the RPR thread?

Or you wasn't.

After listening to his address there was a brief mention and undertone in his statement that the American way would be unaffected and that they would not change their ideals and policies, and that they would not abandon the people in that country as that would be falling into the terrorists hands.

Mentioned Items:

  • Continue Bombing/Military action against all known threats.

  • Proving aid and training to agencies within their country/allied countries to help combat terrorism.

  • Specialized Forces to deal with the threat.

  • More collaboration to attack their ability to create funds whilst helping Turkey strengthen their border to stop terrorist free travel across the world.

  • Trying to create a "truce" in Syria to tackle the Isis.

  • They are investigating how someone got into the country that is a risk, while addressing issues with technology whilst looking to improve border control and immigration checks.

  • If you are on a No-Fly list you can no longer buy weapons (Did address California Gun Laws indirectly) and increase difficulty on buying Automatic weapons.

  • Non Visa Screeniing Updates.

  • Proposing a Vote for continued Military Force.

Things they don't wish to do.
  • No Long drawn out Wars.

  • Not wanting us to turn against other Islamists just because Isis is full of scumbags - and pointed out the majority of their victims are Muslim, but they will not ignore the fact that there is a cancer within the Muslim community.

  • To treate Muslims differently: Specifically doesn't wish to alienate these people either as this will cause further problems (This somewhat contradicts what he said about routing it out but I guess just generally harsher checks for everyone)

Altimaomega, do you have a timestamp for your crackpipe conspiracy ***? Or should I just google Alien Abductions?

The President addressing the nation doesn't deserve it own thread debate really?

Why do you insist on harassing my topics because of something that happened a year ago that I served ban time for and I'm STILL topic banned? An excessive amount of ban time I might add for barley bannable behavior.

Could of swore you are one of those people that advocate for tolerance. Seems like you only want tolerance when it only affects you and yours.

Uh, the President makes dozens of addresses every year, sometimes more. Does that mean we need to have over 100 threads about Obama's addresses to the nation? No

It's not some personal vendetta, either. This topic doesn't warrant a thread of its own, and the only reason it now has one is because you had something to say and aren't allowed to post in RPR. It's not even a good-faith discussion, you just made a thread with the speech and made some petty anti-obama statements. It's a ***-post, plain and simple.

My bad.
The last time that Obama spoke from the Oval Office was to announce the official end of US military involvement in Iraq in late 2010. Far cry from dozens.. Does symbolism mean nothing anymore?

And why can I not have an anti-obama thread? It's not in the forum rules anywhere, the 1st amendment is still intact.. last time I checked.

Which one? xD The conspiracy thing? Can I timestamp the whole vid? Like you said it was more of the undertone than the words he chose to use.

The undertone was more about not changing a way of life because extremists try to make him so, and then he Pointedly addresses increasing the difficulty to even enter the country which is in direct countenance to your argument. the undertone, and don't misunderstand my meaning, was about staying American and not changing their culture into one of pure hatred (Which is laughable because 'murica and yes that's how the world sees American's these days.), that is not a statement about opening the flood gates seeing as he pointedly said about doing things to make it harder to get in, and he's addressing the Gun Restrictions for the country which you said he ignored, which he clearly didn't.

Some presidents address from the Oval Office regularly, some don't. Obama's done it 3 times, Reagan did it like 23, FDR did 33, and not all of them were even important addresses. He did the OSB address, the Ferguson riots address, and every other ISIS address outside the office. The location isn't particularly relevant and it sure doesn't make this topic any more worthwhile.

Recent presidents have not.. G.W.Bush only gave 6. In the 12yrs from G.Bush to Clinton they gave almost as much as Reagan did 2 a yr.. So from the First Bush to now 1.2 Oval office addresses a year. Still a far cry from dozens a year.

I don't believe that the 1st amendment actually has any ties to the Internet and by creating your character you agree to Terms and Conditions were you actually waive some rights to "Personal Freedoms" in the interests of other laws affiliated with the Internet.

Read the small print.
