The only example of "liberal media" you've come up with is Carson and your claims that the media is biased and crucifying him or whatever. If you have more examples, do share. The persecution of Carson has been pretty well dismissed at this point.

After Politico changed the story! smh. The CNBC debate moderators questions were offensive and childish.

We have a full year for more examples to show themselves. Feel free to point out when the media does these things to the democrats.

The biased / political spin is the result of how news companies make money.

MSNBC and CNBC are both owned by the same company and are extremely biased towards progressive ideologies. ABC is owned by Walt Disney which has been progressively biased for a couple of decades now. Watch some of their more recent stuff and point out how many "greedy capitalistic guy is bad, kind socialist girl is good" themes are present. Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch's and he's never been shy about how fiscally conservative he is. CNN is also biased, towards the progressive end, but due to it's international presence it's not quite as bad as the rest.

What are seeing is each entity is simply pandering to their people who view their material in order to generate ad revenue. News sites are primarily funded by ad revenue which means they need viewers to watch them and so they need to keep telling people what they want to hear. Viewers of ABC / MSNBC and to some extent CNN, tend to be liberal / progressive in ideology and thus everything will have a liberal / progressive spin to keep them tuning in. Viewers of Fox tend to be conservative and so they throw a conservative / anti-liberal spin on it to keep those people watching.

It's all about giving people what they want to keep them watching your shows and seeing your ads. If MSNBC started being "fair" and removed the heavy rhetoric it would start to lose viewers to it's competitors. Same with CNN, FOX and ABC.

Quote:
Among Washington correspondents, the ones who dominate national political coverage, it’s even more skewed, said Tim Groseclose, author of “Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind.” More than 90 percent of D.C. journalists vote Democratic, with an even higher number giving to Democrats or liberal-leaning political action committees, the author said.

Journalists being liberals is a foregone conclusion, you're claiming they are pushing propaganda. An editorial column is pretty weak evidence for that.

Call me crazy for reading the entire article, but the overall conclusion doesn't quite fit the narrative of this thread. But that's just crazy talk from someone who took the time to read the whole text instead of quote mining.

I wonder why those journalists all vote that way. Must be a secret plot by Mormon communists trying to take America over.

Why would you bite the hand that feeds you?

At least you admit it is evidence this time.

You agree with me therefor you are good and should be praised. You disagree with me therefor you are evil and should be put to death.

That is the logic used by politically charged individuals.

Last weekend three GOP presidential candidates spoke at a kill the gays conference. The mainstream media ignored it.

The ACTUAL liberal media is trying to call the alleged liberal meadia on this.

Why Is the Media Ignoring Ted Cruz's Embrace of 'Kill the Gays' Pastor?
HuffPo

Quote:
Last weekend Senator Ted Cruz, along with fellow GOP presidential candidates Mike Huckabee and Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal, spoke at a conference in Des Moines headed up by a man who advocates the execution of gay people -- per his interpretation of the bible -- and who made his call for mass extermination once again, onstage at the event, the National Religious Liberties Conference. Pastor Kevin Swanson has said in the past that Christians should attend gay weddings and hold up signs telling the newly married gay and lesbian couples that they "should be put to death." He was an advocate of Uganda's infamous "Kill the Gays" bill, which he saw as a model.

At the confab over the weekend, where he introduced Huckabee, Jindal and Cruz to the audience -- and where Ted Cruz's father, Rafael Cruz, an anti-gay Tea Party crusader, was a star speaker -- he reiterated his death penalty call, adding that homosexuals should first be given some time to repent before the executions begin. There's nothing subtle about what he said, and you can watch it for yourself, including his statements about what he would do if he were one of those parents of a gay person:
Quote:
There are families, we're talking Christian families, pastors' families, elders' families from good, godly churches," Swanson said, "whose sons are rebelling, hanging out with homosexuals and getting married and the parents are invited. What would you do if that was the case? Here is what I would do: sackcloth and ashes at the entrance to the church and I'd sit in cow manure and I'd spread it all over my body. That is what I would do and I'm not kidding, I'm not laughing."
On MSNBC, Rachel Maddow, using extensive clips of video of the speech that had been posted by the indispensable Right Wing Watch, covered the conference in depth, and was rightly horrified that it even took place and that presidential candidates were there.

"This is a political event. This is a Republican presidential candidates' event," Maddow said. "It really was a 'kill-the-gays' call to arms. This was a conference about the necessity of the death penalty as a punishment for homosexuality."
Lots more too including a clip from Rachel's show.

Wonkette has nothing on this yet darnit.

I was unaware CNN and MSNBC didn't count as part of the mainstream media. Anyway's anything the huff post writes about I'd take with a gain of salt. At least the Onion tells you its satire.

Maddow is definitely part of the liberal media.

MSNBC merely leans leftish.

That HoffPo article is not satire. It isn't even heavy handed.

MEDIA HIDES TRUTH About Thousands Of Black Teens Fighting, Rioting And Looting.

Quote:
Thousands of blacks have once again rioted at shopping malls across America over the past weekend—but the controlled media is still pretending not to notice the race of the rioters, describing them as “teens” and “youths.”

Rioting and looting is not a mutually exclusive race issue though.

Whites, Mexicans, Britians, Germans, Muslims, Christians, Merman, Birdmen, Chlutulu worshiping and Spaghetti-monster fearing alike all riot.

While somewhat true. I've seen these stories poping up in random places. Have yet to see it on any mainstream news outlet report on the many riots that seem to be happening all over the country. You can take the race issue with a grain of salt. However, with the lack of reporting on it, I tend to think its true.
