Forum Thread Subscription/stickies Alternative

Given this entry in the features thread about an email notification thread, I wanted to propose an alternative to a system of email notifications (specifically for forums, don't think it would be applicable to items) for thread or activity updates via a system of personal stickies.

For each member we could either have the ability to set certain threads as stickies within their forums or at the top of the "latest threads" page, or a new entry in the Member's menu that was purely a clickable link listing of threads you wanted to keep track of. Just a personal suggestion that seems like it would be an easier alternative to consider than email notifications (like daily forum updates, weekly summaries, etc) if this was ever in the plans for the forum side of the site.

I would like to tack on a rider whereby we can have the ability to change our email address.

I'm still getting PM notifications to an email account I would very much like to delete. >_<
