It is. But it's also truth.
There are people -- in fact, some people very dear to me IRL -- that seem to think an idea is equal just by existing. That there's a "right" to mistreat people (in this case, transfolk and homosexuals) because they believe its right and in their own best interest. That's not acceptable. Mistreating anyone is unacceptable. Hatred is unacceptable. Like the idiot humans we are, however, we laser in on the offenses that affect "our people" and disregard the rest. Instead of promoting dialogue of peace, we make sure it only applies within our own community of similar-minded people. Everyone else deserves vitriol and disdain.

So, we're joking about it, but...
Zah's right; neither of them is particularly beholden to their party's power brokers or platform. We can't say anything is out of bounds with this election. What would even happen? Do Trump's supporters flee because of the dreaded socialism? Do Bernie's supporters flock to Trump (as they've talked about doing anyway!) ensuring a landslide victory?

And I am for the very reason that they're harmful as I've explained. So don't even try.
