YouTube Video Placeholder Rooks said: » Adding code right now to require > 100 posts on the site to post in P+R. Sorry, sockaccount+swordchucks. Thanks for waiting until this slowpoke lurker got to 100 posts, Rooks! At this stage of the game: a forum dedicated to a 14 year old game some people are going to pretend that new user accounts, unlinked to game accounts, that post in the subsection responsible for bans aren't sock accounts???
...please. How about that statement by Meredith McIver?
"In working with Melania Trump on her recent First Lady speech, we discussed many people who inspired her and messages she wanted to share with the American people. A person she has always liked is Michelle Obama...." Can't wait for the pitchforks! That was obvious from day 1, so why bother denying it and quoting My Little Pony?

If you're going to quote someone you like, the customary thing to do is say that before you make a statement that could be construed as plagiarism. But then again she'd probably be bottled off the stage if she dare evoke anything Obama. At least Herman Cain finally just said his quote was from Pokemon 2000. After trying to pass it off as a famous poet. I know when I have a big speech I'm going to say
As a famous Egyptian Pharoah once said: "Believe in the heart of the cards and they will never fail you." I personally find it to be incredibly ignorant for anyone to feel antipathy toward the First Lady. I maintain that I just don't give a good gob damn about Ms. Trump's speech, nor Michelle's before her.
If Hilldawg wins and Bill starts giving speeches, that's a little different, but not because he's a dude, because he's a former POTUS and should probably refrain from trying to dictate too much of anything. The only famous Egyptian I know of: Obama once said "There's not a liberal America and a conservative America - there's the United States of America." Then we all had a good laugh. I was going to write about a famous Egyptian but they all joined ISIS...

If you're going to quote someone you like, the customary thing to do is say that before you make a statement that could be construed as plagiarism. But then again she'd probably be bottled off the stage if she dare evoke anything Obama. Obama and especially Biden have been caught copying parts of speeches without attributing the original writer. It's bad form but nothing new. I don't particularly like the First Lady, but I don't see why it would be a problem for Melania to like her. Furthermore, I could easily pull tidbits from speeches by Republicans/Democrats, ask if people from the opposing parties agree with them, then shout "Booyah!" in their face as I reveal it was from someone they don't like. Political speeches are often contain non-partisan platitudes that are agreeable to nearly everyone. On that same thought, I don't disagree with everything Obama says, I disagree with everything stupid that Barack Obama says. What remains is fine, and some of it is even worth repeating. To think that everything someone says is wrong just because you don't like them is ridiculous and shallow. Really missing that edit button when I'm multitasking mid-sentence....

Just change Mod to Government First they came for the Puppetmasters, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Puppetmaster. Then they came for the Flame Core, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Flame Core. Then they came for the sock accounts, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a sock accounts. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. I think Lordgrim should be a mod to expose the mod conspiracy !

It's more along the lines that there members of the right that completely disregard and disrespect you if you acknowledge the Obamas as anything but vile. In other news there was a 3 way throw down outside the RNC between the KKK, BLM and the Weatboro Baptist church. |
