That depends on if you're LeAnn or Trisha. Either way, I'm married now, so you're going to have to figure it out on your own this time.

Holy hell, they both sang that song? My mind = kablooey.

Oh yeah, a question.

If you could be a tree, what would you be and why?

My sister worked at a casino that held concerts. Apparently, LeAnn Rimes is a bit of a ***.

Pinus longaeva, because they live for millenia. If I'm going to be a tree, I can at least be an old one, as that gives me plenty of time to get to the Entmoot.

Trees/plants don't really have a nervous system as we understand it. There's a variety of theories about how their intelligence, as such, works - Mycellium Running by Paul Stamets has some of this in there, and is probably the best known example (though he's talking about fungus, similar theories are used for plants).

But for now, I'm going to go with no.

Man, I don't care if people want to ask dumb questions, that's the "point" of this thread

But if you're trying to be funny, you gotta be so much funnier than that. I bring my A game, so bring yours. Otherwise, you get the serious answer.

Baby oil is a perfumed mineral oil, which means it comes from petroleum, which in turn comes from long dead dinosaurs.

Well, in my defense, I always ask the tree question.

I can be serious, though.

What got you into FFXI in the first place?
Why did you decide to start posting on this forum to begin with?
What is/was your favorite thread to post in?
What made you want to be a mod/admin?
Got any big plans for the future of this site?

I didn't mean you. The tree question is fine, since it's asking me an actual question about my personality/history.

I applied for the PS2 beta, and got in. Cactuar Pride!

Bismarck.Magnuss said: »
Why did you decide to start posting on this forum to begin with?

I didn't post for a long time, even though my account is ancient. I mostly just used the utility functions on the site, but over time wanted to get better at my jobs, so started frequenting the job+math threads. BG has always had more details there, but the forum there always rubbed me the wrong way.

Bismarck.Magnuss said: »

These days, it's the Site Update or Items Updated threads, because it means I'm actually accomplishing things. Prior to that, pretty much anything in the Paladin forum.

Bismarck.Magnuss said: »
What made you want to be a mod/admin?

It's no secret that things were adrift for a while. Scragg's a busy dude, so I offered to help out with the programming side if he wanted it. He eventually took me up on it, so I was modded to get me a better view of how the site worked, and then finally adminned. Mostly it just came down to "I care about this site and community, and have the skill set to do something for it".

Bismarck.Magnuss said: »

Well, the XIV pieces. There's still some things to do on the XI side to tighten it up (item sets and guild pattern being the ones that spring to mind the fastest) but with XI sunsetting, my focus is really on getting the XIV side up to speed, and making forum/community improvements. I'm still really seeking a way to get MB data, because without it, our ceiling is "XIVDB with a better forum". Which is fine, but ten hours of me cobbling things together per week can't compete with an actual professional enterprise. I'm a shitty graphics guy, too, so it will always be prettier. So no specific plan other than "keep things moving forward so we can keep the lights on".

I grew up with dogs and the wife has a cat now. I love both, but I'd be lying if I said a cat wasn't miles and miles easier.

What is your avatar from?

Avatar is Georg Prime from Suikoden II (and V, but this version is from II).

Name is originally from Arcana, a SNES game that high school me could not stop playing.

I don't have anywhere near enough context to judge that.

It's statistically likely that you're not the un-cutest guy on the forum, so let's start there.

Things have been relatively quiet, and Ack+ChaosX are doing a solid job, so there's not an immediate need. It'd be more about contingency planning than anything.

It's also not entirely up to me, so we'll see. I'd expect there will be a new one before too long, though.

How far back do the records of the guilds items go and are the saved, is it possible to view these on a spread sheet? Is it possible to see a pattern for the future or is it just random? If it has been asked before and there it info on this subject can you please direct me.

Thank you,
