hmmm thanks.
what kinda augs would i be looking into on the augmented staff? Gridarvor is the Oboro JSE weapon, you do not get to pick. It comes with Acc and Att+70, and DA+15.
oh i was thinking of the staff from the T3 in resiima
Grioavolr is the one you are thinking of. It can't even get close to Gridarvor for physical pacts, it's vastly inferior. I have mine augmented for magic pacts, and I think most others do as well.
Their names are too annoyingly close. What's the bare minimum I need to turn a naked SMN, but has Nirvana into something useful? Sets on front page are pretty out of date.
go back one pages and about half way down the page there are some good looking sets
Was isn't best for psy. blood pacts if you don't have a Nirvana?
Im new to smn but Gridarvor is great for magic blood pacts but how is it great for psy. blood pacts? Leviathan.Comeatmebro

Gridarvor and Grioavolr are different weapons.
Gridarvor's double attack provides a huge amount of effective damage to volt strike, and it's got excessive accuracy and attack on it. Grioavolr is not good for physical blood pacts. How do you guys augment your Grioavolr for Magic BPs?
Can "Blood Pact Damage" appear on both default and familiar augmentation paths or do you have to pick a specific one? Offline

Ive only ever seen BPdmg through the familiar path.
Someone might want to update BG-Wiki then.
Went through 500 stones with MAGA and haven't seen a single BP >= 9. It was the only condition, considering the cap is (supposedly?) 11 I was assuming 9 not to be so rare but think again Sechs! Guess on my next 500 stones I'll try with 8, jeeze. Offline

Mine is currently BPdmg 9, macc 9, mab 30. Ive never seen anything higher, but that could just be my tremendously[bad]luck with augments.

Use Ferns for BP DMG augments.
I remember there being a simple HTML thing that someone created to measure Mab vs BPD in an approximate way.
Anybody still have that file by any chance? Wanted to test, with my current gear, which would be the minimum threshold required for Grioavolr to beat Espiritus (A) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6qlYHwPG3XuTDk5ZlFKV1RyTlE/view?usp=sharing (Magical)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6qlYHwPG3XucVB2V2pESHNCZFU/view?usp=sharing (Physical) Credits to some1 i forgot name from this forum... Wow... I was seriously underestimating Espiritus.
With my current gearset (which is far from perfect, I can acknowledge that) it takes close-to-cap augments on Grio for it to be barely better than Espiritus. Lame. Guess I would need more mab in the rest of my gear to make Grio more appealing. Asura.Sechs said: » Wow... I was seriously underestimating Espiritus. Guess I would need more mab in the rest of my gear to make Grio more appealing. espiritus is only 157.5 MAB. (150 MAB, 3 bpd) keraunos is 155 MAB max. grio is 115 mab plus the 30 MAB aug and 10 bpd, so a total of 170 MAB in a perfect augment, Grio also has better MACC and the possibility of 10-15(?) int. to beat a espiritus you need over... 5 bpd and 30 mab 6 bpd and 27.5 mab 7 bpd and 25 mab 8 bpd and 22.5 mab 9 bpd and 20 mab 10 bpd and 17.5 mab Asura.Frod said: » to beat a espiritus you need over... Which is what I said basically. To beat Espiritus you need really good augments, and for this difference to be very noticeable and not marginal, you would need incredibly good ones. Which bring us back to my initial point: I was seriously underestimating Espiritus! Was expecting Grio to be able to beat it even with meh augments, which is totally not the case here alas. Grio also has a buttload more macc, which is nice and helps to push even sub espiritus level augs to be better. Anyone have a lua where your gear locks for astral conduit?
I've tried updating the kinetics gearswap that I've been using since like 2011, and trying to differentiate the bps caused me to break it... I think Verdas is unsupported now since they disappeared and I didn't really like it to begin with hi bry!

For astral conduit ive been using these two lines of code
function job_precast(spell, action, spellMap, eventArgs) if state.Buff['Astral Conduit'] and pet_midaction() then eventArgs.handled = true end end function job_midcast(spell, action, spellMap, eventArgs) if state.Buff['Astral Conduit'] and pet_midaction() then eventArgs.handled = true end end seems to work pretty well. What does a Flaming Crush set look like for high tier content these days? I saw one a few pages back, but no commentary. I use basically the same set and notice the other SMN in my shell doing consistently better so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
Asura.Pergatory said: » Here are the main sets I'm using right now: ItemSet 319492 Head, Legs, and Feet are all path A. (Edit: Though in my experience, for legs path D produces very similar damage and I'm not really sure which is better.) Hands augment is BP Dmg +10, Pet: MAcc+13, Pet: MAB+28 Cape is Pet: Acc/Atk+20, Pet: Atk+10 The only difference in my set is the hands have : BP Dmg +10, Pet: MAcc+24, Pet: MAB+24 I know flaming crush isn't the best BP for high tier, but I'm SCing with another SMN and want to maximize damage nonetheless. Chaotic strike to volt strike also akillchains. Pred to volt as well i think. How about avatar TP sets, guessing 5/5 Helios with Acc/Haste/DA
Asura.Ensane said: » How about avatar TP sets, guessing 5/5 Helios with Acc/Haste/DA I'll admit to having a set resembling this, but it's from back before we had access to refresh all over the place. I literally haven't used it in years. If I don't need the refresh, I tend to change into PetDT gear or something else rather than trying to feed my avatar more TP. Here's the thing, one of SMN's greatest and most underappreciated strengths is the fact that it feeds very little TP to the enemy. Blood pacts don't give ANY TP. Zero. So the only TP you're giving is from avatar melee. I actually want my avatar to miss its melee attacks, because the TP I'll gain won't change anything but the TP the enemy gains will. |
