Jeezz I'd rather apogee, ws, bp bp for a hell of lot of dmg more then you just sitting on the side line.

575 skill tier+Horn+Gift doesn't give any bonus for some reason. Still stuck at -8 recast with 636 skill+Horn+Gift. Offline
Did you build up or build down for that Papesse? I got to 504 smn skill and it still worked for -8 recast but as soon as I changed my staff or horn, it didn't work again till 575.
Edit: I retried again with 513 skill and horn and over 30s of delay reduction and it did work for me, which is odd, there's something weird about it I conducted every test the exact same way, equipsets not used and gearswap off. Edit 2: Found at least one reason, sometimes using the same gear it will start on the job ability menu a different second. Ex. at 497 skill I saw both it start at 22 and 23, but usually 23. Yea, the timer is very odd sometimes but -7 is by far the most common result with 511 skill or less. I'm mostly concerned by the 575 skill tier not working, I don't think this is normal if the cap is supposed to be -10.

Thanks for the findings. So, I never really bothered +1ing my horn, but I can report that i'm also capping at -8 by rejigging my sets Head: Beckoner's NQ (+2 favor) Body: Convokers +1 (-6 bp) hands: Glyphic +1 (-6 bp) legs: Beckoner's +1 feet: Apogee NQ (path D for skill ) waist: Lucidity shash neck: incanter's torque ring 1: evoker's ring ring 2: Fervor ring back: Conveyance cape (-3 BP II but not relevant for this build) ear 1: caller's earring (-1 BP) ear 2: Evans earrings (-2 BP) ammo: Seraphicaller (-5 BPII) Total: 580 skill Favor tier +3 (+2 from horn and +1 from job gift) BP I -15 BP II -15 (includes -10 from job gifts) Timer: 22 seconds (21 on recast plugin) So I'm wondering based on this findings and on Papesse and your findings if SE introduced a bug, we're misunderstanding something, or the cap is indeed at -8 as the +1 favor tier from HQ horn appears to not help or only allow for even lower summoning skill to cap. It's also possible that the intended hard cap is 10 seconds - however SE has not released the applicable gear to actually attain said limit. Trolling us hard.
Did someone test it with Campestres's Cape? Maybe lvl of avatar counts...
Edit: got 22s only. Offline
I used translate on the JP forums to try and see if anyone there figured out a way to get -10 seconds as they announced but the JP players seem to have the same conclusions we do: Link
In either case, I'm loving this adjustment, it's a huge update for SMN players :D Carbuncle.Papesse said: » 512 skill tier+Horn+Gift are the minimum required to reach a -8 recast bonus. 575 skill tier+Horn+Gift doesn't give any bonus for some reason. Could anybody please indicate what would be a good "Pre"cast and "Mid"cast for BP ? Thanks Bismarck.Kuroganashi said: » oh and also in addition to the previous post Could anybody please indicate what would be a good "Pre"cast and "Mid"cast for BP ? Thanks For pet_midcast, use your BP damage gear like the sets you linked above. For pet_aftercast, go back to idle gear. As for actual equipment, I won't get into too much detail. Most obvious thing missing, Gelos Earring. Git dat ASAP. Nothing beats Varar Rings really, except most likely Thurandaut Ring for physical BPs and possibly Flaming Crush. Your Apogee should probably be Path A, Pet:MAB is massive for magic BPs and Flaming Crush whereas Pet:Attack isn't very massive for physical BPs. Another quick win would be Campestres's Cape from Ambuscade. For Espiritus, probably start with Path A to boost your magic BPs, but eventually you'll probably replace it with a Grioavolr at which time you can change Espiritus to path B for 15 summoning skill (best skill staff). Or just get 2 Espiritus... Espirituses... Espiritii? hey guys
i was thinking about use Varar ring into my smn sets, what im not sure is if this one can rep fervor ring? I dont have that Soa ring for my smn so how much acc is smn skill from evoker's ring and should i rep it too for a double combo varar rings? Offline
I did the math for my sets at least and am going to release a tool to help people figure out their sets on bp vs mab. Varar are winning for me over even speakers. If you need extra magic acc evokers still better but for raw damage or physical pacts use varar.

As for Evoker's, you're trading 9~10ish acc for 7... and then 3% hard damage more. Which is no contest for physical and hybrid BPs, Varar>Evoker's. Purely better. For magical BPs, however, is a little more tenuous as you don't gain any Macc for your 3%BPdmg. BUT seeing as how it's only around 10 Macc that you're losing for 3% more damage, I'd say you can loose a paltry 10 for 3% more damage. (that ain't gonna be changing your resist rates, if you're constantly getting resisted, you will be with or without Evoker's) EDIT:Varar+Speaker's should be best combo for Magical BPs. The BPdmg is the reason why double Varar is going to be so much better. Not really the Acc. (never should BP in the Adoulin ring now) Asura.Pergatory said: » Bismarck.Kuroganashi said: » Apogee PATH A ? For a BP weapon, go to keraunos (phys, expensive) or Grioavolr, espiritus is a far third to these usually. Rubeus boots are vastly outdated and hard to get, there's HQ marduk as well as apogee D feet. Apogee would probably be the best as you can use them in perp/skill build for favor timer. Offline

What augments should I go for on the ambuscade cape? Depends how serious you are for SMN.
If you want a single cape I'd go with a Physical One which is gonna be nice for magical as well. Pet acc/att Meva for the master Pet Haste I call this a good compromise. Will excel for physical but it's gonna be nice for magical as well (thanks to the base stats). If you wanna do a second one do a magic one with Pet Macc/mdmg Meva for the master Pet Regen For the fourth slot I don't really know what to suggest. More acc (or att?) for the Physical cape. More Macc for the magical one? Take this post as a grain of salt, it's just my very humble and very personal personal suggestion. Right now, my current Ambuscape is capped with the following Pet: Acc/Atk for Thread, Pet: Regen for Sap, haven't added Dust, and Pet: M.Dmg for Dye. I'm going to add Eva/M.Eva once I get time to log in.
I'm very hesitant on making a second Cape to better match the ones Sechs described, but I don't know how to make my macros distinguish one cape from another. And no, I don't know how to make a spellcast file. Asura.Avallon
