Am I late, or did they recently change the way BP distance works? As in, if your avatar's not engaged and you try to use a short range BP, it simply doesn't let you, whereas before it would do the JA, generate enmity for the player, the avatar would do the ready animation, then you'd get the "too far away" message if the enemy didn't move close enough, and your avatar would lose TP if it was TP move.
Oh man, I'm not liking this change at all. It's ruining the gameplay style that I'm used to. It's much easier to BP the mob in question from a distance and having avatar auto-engage. :/
I'm having trouble running into this problem maybe it's just my playstyle :( I've not experienced the problem either. I can pick some random unclaimed mob and hit a BP, and the avatar will ready it and the mob will come running. Of course, due to the shortened BP ready time, the mob has to be a lot closer for that to work than used to be the case, but in any event the BP does ready.
Are you sure you're not outside BP range when doing this? Range is anywhere from 16 yalms out to about 20+ for larger mobs.

Definately changed, need to be within 5 to chaotic strike a unclaimed target, or you get the message "not in range" until you move within 5, magical and debuffs appear to remain unchanged. During battle 15 is fine

One of the problems I'm coming across in Vagary, Slimes & Acuex battlefield, I'm not needing to run about 10-11 (sometimes even as close as 5) in order to Thunderspark the pulls, before it used to be roughly 17-18.

For magical BP to know which is better multiply the MAB and BPdmg terms to get the result:
Espiritus: 2.5 * 1.03 = 2.575
Keraunos: 2.25 * 1.1 = 2.475
I think this is a bit misleading. In order to determine how a piece of equipment will affect a magic BP, you need to take all other sources of MAB and BP damage into account as well. For example, if all of your current gear gives you 100 MAB and 0 BP damage, and you're considering adding a piece of gear that either gives you 5 MAB or 5 BP damage, simply multiplying the stats on this new piece of gear will give you an answer that they're both equally effective, when actually, the 5 BP damage is better (2.05 * 1.00 = 2.05 vs. 2.00 * 1.05 = 2.1). If we lived in a world where we could freely exchange 1 MAB for 1 BP damage and vice versa, the best combination of gear would be one where BP damage and MAB were in a 1:1 ratio.
When doing magic BP damage calculations, remember to take into account the MAB that avatars, besides carbuncle (and maybe cait sith; not sure what job she is), get from their BLM job.

When doing magic BP damage calculations, remember to take into account the MAB that avatars, besides carbuncle (and maybe cait sith; not sure what job she is), get from their BLM job. I tested this back when I was 115 out of curiosity. Cait Sith has Auto Regen and identical /checkparam as Carbuncle. Alex and Odin were also identical, oddly enough. I think it's something like
Elemental Avatars: BLM/BLM
Carbuncle/Cait Sith: WHM/WHM
Fenrir: DRK/BLM (significantly higher Attack)
Diabolos: BLM/PLD (higher DEF than the rest; I've also heard he supposedly has Resist Sleep)
Light Spirit: WHM
Other Elementals: BLM
Alex/Odin: RDM?
Atomos: ??? (identical Acc. to Alex/Odin/non-light spirits, identical Atk. to elemental avatars/Diabolos, identical Eva. to elemental avatars/Fenrir/Diabolos, DEF between elemental avatars/Fenrir and Alex/Odin)

Hello, I am looking for augments paths for apogee gear, more specifically the mitts at the moment. Anyone came up with anything?

https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Nolan
Path A-C are all the same for each piece in the set, Path D is the only one that varies. As far as I know, Path D is only known for the legs at this time.

1200 Job Point gift does not bypass/stack with BP II. Blood Pact recast time remains 30 seconds.
If you thought your job's 1200 gift was bad, you haven't seen Summoner's. It does absolutely nothing, which happens to be worse than something.

That has to be wrong. They changed how BP timers were working on the update they did last night, maybe they broke it?

Yesterday before the maintenance, I was able to have a 26 second BP recast. Today it seems to be capped at 29 (I'm assuming 30 really). Something changed with the maintenance last night. I really think they broke some code. Makes me more than a little sad. ; ;

For a few jobs, doing something can be worse than nothing.

This time around, I don't think so. None of the 1200 gifts are negative.

Since when was martial arts actually a bad thing?
EDIT: Ah, I wasn't aware it functioned the same as dual wield. Potentially yes, then, for that one job.

So the BP's being capped at 29 seconds irked me enough to put in an official bug report. In less than a day it went from submitted to Accepted. What happens from here is anyone's guess, but we can hope.

It was weird. I had 3 out of 6 T2's unlocked from doing T1's but Hanbi wasn't one of them. It wasn't until we defeated Panna Cotta did Hanbi show up on my list of KI's to buy.
That being said, it might be different for you. We had started with the first NM on the list (Bia) and worked our way down.
Hinba is like the Mistmaw Yztarg from Rala Skirmish only he also functions like the Douma Weapon. He spawns Demon adds reguarly with up to 4+ spawning towards the last 10%. The adds always come for the host/popper.

Can anyone please give me a firm confirmation that Conveyance Cape can be augmented up to Blood Pact DMG+5? I've burned wayyyyyy too many refraction crystals and seem to only see +4, yet the bgwiki says it can go up to +5.
Does anyone actually have an augmented cape with +5?
Merci.

Mine have +5 as well. Too bad I only got BP delay II -1 on it though...

Yes. My cape has BP DMG+5. Sigh. In a way, I was hoping it wasn't true lol. Thanks Avalon. I guess I'll have to keep trying :/
Edit: I have 1 cape in /wardrobe that has blood pact delay II -3, and another in my inventory with BP DMG+4. Can't seem to get them together unfortunately.

Yeah I feel your pain. It's frustrating for sure.
I unloaded 3 Red Mog Pell's worth of Snoworb+1's on my Keraunos then a few hours later I got Esperitus. >_>

There is zero reason to attempt to get blood pact delay and Blood Pact Damage on the same cape. They should be two capes on different sets.

I'm having trouble finding a place that lists all of the gear with -BP Delay II on it. Every place I've seen is missing one piece or another. Could someone who has it all noted post it here? I'd like to figure out what I'm still missing to reach that sweet spot.
