Gil making?
Returning for some fun with a friend and wondering some efficient ways to make gil? Not an insane amount but a healthy amount.
Haven't played since a couple weeks after Seekers release. The Sparks (points) from Records of Eminence can net you a fair amount of money to cover your basic needs, including food, ammo, and the odd 300k item you might need. You'll earn about 500k worth every few days or so of just doing whatever activities you enjoy.
This gil comes from spending the sparks on NPCable gear, so there's no involvement with AH or any competition, and you can go out of your way to make more if you desire. Haven't played since a couple weeks after Seekers release. Well there are some different ways of making gil quick: 1. Dynamis. People still need O. Bronzepieces, Tukuku Whiteshells, among other things for relics, etc, but mostly those two are hot sellers from dynamis. Bazaar them for a "reasonable" price 4.5-6.5k I think is still the going price range (correct me if the prices have changed). 2. Voidwatch. If you get Heavy Metal Plates you can Bazaar them for 80k-110k (might depend on the server if the prices are or aren't in that range.). Also you can get other rare items, like Kaggen's Cuticle from Kaggen (obviously. There's also Pil's Tutile (think I spelled it wrong) from Pil. And others like Hahava Mail, etc from Voidwatch. 3. Once you get more adjusted to SoA, start doing delve runs, if you can freelot items that drop you should go for the Grabbath Horn (Tojil, Morimar Basalt Fields Delve Boss), Rockfin Tooth (Dakuwaqa, Foret De Henntiel Delve Boss), Bztavian Stinger (Muyingwa, Ceizak Battlegrounds Delve Boss), Yggdreant bole (Wopket, Yorcia Weald Delve Boss), Waktza Rostrum (Cailimh, Marjami Ravine Delve Boss), and lastly Cehuetzi Pelt (Utkux, Kamihr Drifts Boss Delve). They are big money makers, you can also save up plasm you get from delve to purchase those items with the plasm you save up and sell them for money. 4. Old Fashioned Scroll Farming. Some old areas still have NMs that drop some rare magic scrolls you can get. While they don't sell for as high as they did back in the old days, they are still worth farming for some quick gil. 5. Hosting Skirmish Runs. If you purchase skirmish items for a high tier skirmish (Tier III-V) you can either do 2 things: A. Split the cost of those skirmish entry items based on the prices of said items. Or... B. Make everything freelot at the end of the skirmish except 1 item like a +2 stone. That stone is reserved for you since you didn't charge anyone and hosted the run for free, since you probably used a lot of gil to get the items (as they are expensive these days). Sell the +2 stones for some fast gil. Those are just some ways to earn some easy money. Hope this helps you and anyone else in need of quick gil! :) Salvage twice a day also can get your pretty nice gil.
Also, if you have lots of bayld you can convert them into HP Bayld in East Adoulin, which sell for good to make gil.
Assuming you don't have too much time for gil farming as a returner, I suggest farming Arrapago Remnants II daily before any other method. You can pop and kill the boss with minimal item level gear (such as full sparks or a mix of sparks and random 119 gear). It will only take you around 30 mins once you get the hang of it (which you would easily after a few runs) and will net you around 100 alex per run average which sells pretty fast for 7-8k (possibly up to 10k if you are patient). If you have leveled up mule character(s), that is even better since you can practically farm as many times a day.
I would second AR2, as said you can complete in 30mins, I personally do a full farm which consists of killing all NMs on the path + gears farm on the floor before the nq boss but other people just kill the NQ and HQ boss for a guaranteed linen pouch and a small chance of a 2nd linen pouch.
