is there any difference in stick rate among dark buster, blindga and blind shot?
Dark buster = 30%
Blindga = 60%
That's landing rate, if you mean duration, no idea.

![]() Really easy, I had to reload once because I got trolled by 4 consecutive Blind Shells missing. Their damage output is really low, I let SG fall off for a while because I was busy doing other things and even spamming the scariest attack (some multi hit 1k~ average gun shot) I never came close to dying. Their HP however is super low, which is good because without Breakdowns or Steal Power my characters can't hit for ***, even with FFX being my bestish realm. First time I've ever won an Ultimate with Tyro! Used his SSB once and it was atrocious lol. If I went back and did it again I probably would have ditched Protectga on Lenna and used Slowga, spent a few extra turns I didn't need to trying to land Tempo Flurry. Esuna was also 100% useless, would not bring again. As far as hones go, I ran out of attacks completely with Rikku before even downing the 2nd boss (4 Thief Raid + 6 Blind Shell) and also ran out with Tyro (6 Banishing Strike) but by then it didn't matter. Having an extra hone for Rikku would have been more optimal though. Just attempted the Ultimate with the following setup:
63 Sephiroth: R3 Lifesiphon / R3 Blindga / Black Materia / Hold the Line 60 Faris: R1 Armour Breakdown / R1 Power Breakdown / Kindred Spirit / Viera Virtuoso 66 Tidus: R2 Lifesiphon / R4 Tempo Flurry / Delay Attack (lol) / SOLDIER Strike 65 Lenna: R4 Curaga / R2 Shellga / Flames of War / Mako's Might 56 Vanille: R3 Biora / R3 Dispel / Oerba's Boon / Dr. Mog's Teachings RW: Sentinel Grimoire Faris was pretty much useless to me outside of "shoot things with Bow" and I need to stop attempting to think Breakdowns even work in Ultimates, lol. Also, Tidus is just there in hopes I unlock his RM2 at the end of the fight (also lol). Overall, despite the faults in my team I'm fairly confident I can beat the fight after I make a few ability and character swaps. I opted to kill LeBlance first and ran outta steam at around 10% remaining on Logos. I'm fairly certain ANYONE posting in this thread will be able to crush the Ultimate without too much issue if I can get that far with how silly my team looks. If you burn a single target fast enough their ultimate Dispel, No Love Lost will never be cast so there's no fear for that and I can generally pull off a kill before they get to that point (depending on the duration of Blindga and how many I need to make it stick). LeBlance casts Not-So-Mighty Guard at the beginning and automatically does it again when she goes below 50% (around there) and Logos starts to get two actions per round sub 50% too so just save your burn for that point. Dunno what Ormi does sub 50% but I imagine if you keep him blinded he's pretty much a non-issue. I'll probably try again once I pull off Banner 5 tonight and see what I end up with. Happy smashing~ Now that I think about it I'd almost be tempted to scrap melee for this fight. Rikku did really well (8k Blind Shells, 15k~ Thief Raids) but Cloud and Lightnings damage output was pretty pathetic. Tyro didn't even have real damage output.
Given that Mages take less buffs/debuffs to become powerful, I imagine they would be way better for this. Depending on hones of course, since mages scale on hones over gear mostly. Yuna would likely be a beast. Does Resist just mean it's not as effective or they outright resisted that attempt to apply the debuff? Because I've been interpreting it as the latter so if I'm mistaken, please let me know xD I will say, on the heels of our previous discussion, this ultimate has cemented my desire to L80 Sephiroth since he's been my primary power house since I got his SSB. Now to decide what to spend my 5th MC2Lode on. Man if Exploding Fist didn't compete with Thief's Raid for Lightning Orbs, I'd hone the ***outa that thing. I just noticed that basically the only attack I have for Tifa is Lifesiphon or Temp Flurry <.<
2.9 with 20% chance to crit would certainly beat a 1.9! Resist just means a 50% reduction. But dropping a stat by 30% with a resisted breakdown is still a huge gain.
Good to know, thanks for the clarification~ That changes me opinion of the Breakdowns immensely.
Nightmare Ultimates seem to null all Break(downs) though, as a heads up.
And Each of the Leblanc Trio has a stat break(down) they outright null as well. Right hence why I said Breakdowns tended to be a complete necessary until the last like 3 big fights. Although it's worth noting that Breakdowns aren't necessarily bad for this fight actually. BD's are still a 2.1x attack, which is basically as strong as anything you will likely be using.
Since each sister nulls a certain breakdown, you could easily take someone like Wakka who is level 80 and actually has pretty good DPS stats in RS and use Armor Breakdown. It will hit hard and still work perfectly fine on Leblanc and Ormi, just nulled on Logos which is the least important to kill fast. Thank you, Leblanc, for wiping my buffs just in time for Ormi to hit Vanille with an attack for 4400 damage.

Most if not all bosses after the lv. 90s will resist break/breakdowns. Resist means that you will get half of the value of their debuff. Resisted Breakdown = -20%, for armor breakdown thats 11-12% dps inc for your team Full break = -15% thats 8.5% dps inc 27% dps inc if you use both. Generally though youll use Full break + dmg mitigation though(magic/power break down). Either way 8.5-12% dmg inc is welcomed. Roughly an extra 20k dmg on Ultimate bosses. It's also worth noting that if you are unable to get something like Scream, Steal Power is as strong as Power Breakdown and gives the attack increase benefit. Although losing a slot on a Thief is devestating. Now that +50% attack is a normal option it loses a lot of luster however.

Although losing a slot on a Thief is devestating. Depends, let say you don't have native wall and the fight requires a lot more heavier mitigation you might have to go with steal power. Steal power is not bad as an ability slot if you have R3 of thf's raid. I would not depend on a thief with only R2 TF and S.power though, you really need R3. With a good dagger or even RS dagger add in +dmg 20% daggers RM(Lockes RM3) you can actually do 70-85k of dmg just with R3 of TR against a Ultimate boss that has 1000-800 def with Full break on which is where boss def is going to be heading to. Currently we still have bosses with 630 def so with FB thats still roughly 90-100k with R3 TF...imagine more hones... 2 hours till the end of phase 4, and i always give a little peek at Lockes Valiant Knife but i cant convince myself to spend any resource in that banner.
Also, sucks that it doesnt seems that the knife will ever come back. Its a decent knife that will be forgotten while stupid SSB like Edgar or Sabin keeps coming... ![]() Said I'd do one 11x pull on it. Have every good relic on it besides SG and Garnets. Not gonna chase, all rest on tactics. Friend pulled SG, Cardinal, Ultima Sword x2, Emerald Shield and Golden Spear across two 11x
You won the game.
Haha, I guess so. I wish I had saved more for FFT but I won't complain. :)
So um, what does this thing do? I wasn't pulling for it. I've heard people rave about it but never what the shield does. AoE +200% Def and Res. Stacks with Protectga and Shellge.
Basically makes everything tickle. Ragnarok.Raenil said: » AoE +200% Def and Res. Stacks with Protectga and Shellge. Basically makes everything tickle. ![]() That's awesome! So wait. Does Bartz's/Yuna's SSB stack with it too? (and protectga/shellga for that matter)

Thanks. :) I really didn't even think about pulling for this so now I need to figure out how to work Tyro into my group lol
Mage or Healer slot, basically. Support if you're really hurting to fit him in.
Gilga's sb is adorable
tfw you will never have a flying chicken to brofist I'm excited that that single Gilgamesh relic opens up the ability to use Dragoon and Samurai abilities for me, since none of my other SSBs can use them.
Time to level flashing blade? As good as it is....I still don't think so. |
