Honestly doesn't to me. I hate judging a book by its cover, but in this case I disagree with you. He actually looks vaguely like a young Michael Richards (see: UHF) to me. Not an extremely close resemblance, but a vaguely big-eared, toothy quality that comes across as amicable-yet-doofusy.
